[Lunch on the approach to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine] Enjoy the best flavor of soft eggs and dashi! Exquisite oyakodon in a traditional Japanese house (Fukuoka)

Hello! I'm Yumi Kuroishi, a writer who connects the city of Fukuoka with its people.

This time, we will introduce a delicious lunch that can be enjoyed in an old Japanese house near the approach to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine.

The charming old house, built over 100 years ago, is also appealing! "Enmusubi Shokudo Soba Namiman" (Dazaifu City)

It's a three-minute walk from Nishitetsu Dazaifu Station. Walk along the approach to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, go through the first torii gate, and turn left into the narrow alley...

The restaurant we were looking for, "Enmusubi Shokudo Soba Namiman," appeared. The restaurant opened in January 2016 after being carefully renovated by the owners, Mr. and Mrs. Nagaishi, over a year.

The "Well of Harmony" in front of the store is said to contain the wish that "all visitors will find good connections."

The restaurant has about 40 seats, with tables and counter seats made from solid wood, and the scent of wood is faint.

The quiet and calm atmosphere is perfect for dates as well as days when you want to enjoy a leisurely meal by yourself.

Repeat customers continue to come! The hidden specialty, the golden shining "Oyakodon"

The menu is centered around soba noodles, but also has a wide range of dishes, including udon and rice bowls. The price range is reasonable, starting from 660 yen, which is a great point.

Among them, the one with the most repeat customers is the golden-colored "Oyakodon" (1,200 yen), made with freshly slaughtered "Akajidori" chicken and carefully selected eggs with a rich yolk flavor.

The soft, melt-in-your-mouth egg is complemented by the elegant aroma of kelp and bonito broth. With one bite, the delicious flavor spreads throughout your mouth along with the firm texture of the Akajidori chicken.

It's also great that you can enjoy the tenderness of the thigh meat and the chewy texture of the breast meat!

It's neither too sweet nor too spicy, and the lingering flavor of the broth is pleasant. It's the perfect flavor for when you want to take a break.

Don't forget to try our famous soba noodles!

The shop's specialty soba noodles are carefully selected from organically grown, pesticide-free soba noodles from Shiretoko. They are made by hand every morning using freshly ground flour. The strong aroma and rich flavor are the secret to their popularity.

We especially recommend you try the "Zaru Soba" (880 yen).

First, take a bite with just salt. Then, move on to the soup made with dashi stock made from Rausu kelp from Hokkaido and bonito flakes from Makurazaki, Kagoshima Prefecture. Once you've finished eating the soba, pour in the soba soup and enjoy the dashi stock.

You can enjoy the charm of homemade noodles.

A wonderful gesture that lets you take home a connection

After paying, you'll be given a 5 yen coin with the wish for good luck in love. The thoughtfulness brought a smile to my face.

Although it is just a short walk from the approach to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, the tranquility is like another world. The friendly atmosphere of the shop staff was also soothing.

I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. Please give it a try. (Text by Kuroishi Yumi)
