[Tenjin Lunch] Weekday only! "Very satisfying for just 1,320 yen" 8 kinds of appetizers and pasta from a popular restaurant (Fukuoka)

Hello! I'm Yumi Kuroishi, a writer who connects the city of Fukuoka with its people.

This time, we will introduce a weekday-only one-plate lunch that can be enjoyed at a branch of a restaurant featured in the Michelin Guide!

o/sio FUKUOKA, a stylish Italian restaurant where you can enjoy carefully selected meat and natural wine (Tenjin, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City)

Tenjin Inachika is a food and beverage zone located on the second basement floor of the Tenjin Business Center building, which is directly connected to Tenjin Station on the subway airport line.

"o/sio FUKUOKA," which opened in one corner of the building in April 2022, is a sister restaurant of Tokyo's "sio YOYOGI UEHARA," which has been featured in the Michelin Guide * for its innovative cuisine that combines Japanese and Italian cuisine. This is "o/sio's" second store, following the one in Marunouchi, Tokyo.
*Featured in the Michelin Guide Tokyo for six consecutive years since 2020

This restaurant is popular for its casual style of serving Italian meat and natural wine. Located in the heart of Tenjin, you can enjoy high-quality food in a relaxed atmosphere.

The restaurant has a total of 28 seats, including counter seats and table seats.

The wood-grain interior and soft lighting create a relaxing atmosphere that makes you want to stay for a while.

The luxurious one-plate lunch, available only on weekdays, is popular! "Today's Pasta" is 1,320 yen and highly satisfying.

In this comfortable space, we recommend you try the weekday-only lunch menu.

There are three types of dishes available: "Today's Pasta Plate" (1,320 yen), which is a plate of pasta and appetizer; "Rich Meat Doria (limited quantity)" (1,760 yen), which is rice baked with homemade meat sauce; and "Grass-fed Beef Steak (limited quantity)" (3,960 yen), a great value steak that is very popular at dinner time.

This lunch is not offered at "o/sio" in Marunouchi, Tokyo, so you can only enjoy it at "o/sio FUKUOKA"!

Many people visit the restaurant for this reason, and you can see local businessmen, tourists, and regular customers. The restaurant is gaining attention as a place where you can casually enjoy the flavors of "o/sio."

This time, I ordered the most popular "Today's Pasta Plate."

This luxurious lunch set includes a plate filled with a colorful array of appetizers and pasta with ingredients and sauces that change daily, making it exciting just to look at!

The pasta of the day was "Bolognese," a dish made with leftover meat from cutting beef for steaks, simmered in a sauce made with red wine.

We have made every effort to avoid wasting ingredients and reduce food waste.

The beef is simmered until it's tender, condensing its flavor for a rich taste! The generous portion is very satisfying. The light black pepper and powdered cheese give it a sophisticated flavor.

There are eight different appetizers in total, with ingredients changing according to the season.

On this day, the menu consisted of Caesar salad, carrot rapée, purple cabbage rapée, marinated tuna and paprika, mushroom frittata, roast beef, bonito carpaccio topped with beets and red onions, and bruschetta with fig butter.

Here are some of the most impressive ones.

First up is the roast beef. Domestic beef round meat is slowly cooked at low temperature for about three hours and finished with a homemade Japonaise sauce that further enhances the flavor of the meat. It's juicy, and the more you chew it, the more flavor spreads throughout your mouth.

Next up is the "fig Butter Bruschetta." It is also served at dinner time and is apparently the most popular menu item.

The rich butter is accented with sweet and sour fig. It pairs perfectly with the crispy baguette, making it a dish you'll find yourself reaching for again and again!

The Mushroom Frittata is an Italian-style omelet topped with grated cheese and has a moist texture. In addition to mushrooms, it is filled with other ingredients such as bacon and potatoes.

The Caesar salad, made with the Italian vegetable radicchio, is also delicious. The rich Caesar dressing matches perfectly with the fresh vegetables! I also enjoyed the crunchy texture of the croutons.

Enjoy a luxurious moment with dessert and coffee after your meal

There are also a wide variety of set menus that can be added to lunch, including the "Soup Set" (220 yen) made with seasonal ingredients, the "Dessert Set" (330 yen) where you can choose from three types of desserts such as gelato or tiramisu, the "Coffee Set" (330 yen) where you can choose from espresso, americano, or cold brew coffee, and the "Soft Drink Set" (440 yen).

This time, I ordered the "dessert set" and "coffee set" and enjoyed a relaxing cafe time after the meal.

The dessert I chose that day was the shop's recommended "Milk Gelato."

This sweet and salty gelato is perfect for adults, made with simple milk gelato topped with Italian olive oil and Maldon Crystal sea salt from the UK.

The moment I put it in my mouth, the deep flavor of olive oil spread, followed by a crunch of salt to add a nice accent. I was completely captivated by this original dessert. I'll probably return just for this gelato.

For coffee, I chose an "Americano" made with an Italian espresso machine.

It has a deep, fragrant flavor with a refreshing aftertaste, making it the perfect drink to enjoy leisurely after a meal.

While the lunches introduced this time, "Today's Pasta," "Rich Meat Doria," and "Grass-Fed Beef Steak," cannot be reserved, you can make a reservation for the weekday-only course lunch, "o/sio Weekday Lunch Enjoyment Plan" (2,100 yen)! This set includes today's soup, an assortment of appetizers, today's pasta, dessert (choose one from milk gelato, bonet, or tiramisu), and coffee or tea, making it a great choice for special occasions.

Enjoy a casual a la carte menu on weekday evenings, weekends, and holidays! Over 100 types of wine are also available.

During weekday dinner hours (17:00-23:00) and all day on weekends and holidays (11:00-23:00), you can enjoy Italian a la carte dishes (from 330 yen) and course meals (from 5,200 yen).

The chef's recommendations are the grilled "Tokachi Herb Beef Sirloin" (100g/4,400 yen), which is characterized by its fine texture and rich flavor, the homemade meat sauce pasta "o/sio's Classic Rich Meat" (1,980 yen), and the "Burrata and Seasonal Ingredients Caprese" (3,080 yen), which features an excellent combination of fruit and cheese.

Another big attraction of o/sio FUKUOKA is the wide variety of wines they offer. They have a selection of carefully selected natural wines from around the world, with over 100 types of bottled wine available, and wines by the glass starting at 1,100 yen.

This restaurant is perfect for solo diners, friends, dates, and even families with children. Be sure to stop by. (Text by Kuroishi Yumi)
