[Near Gion Station] A stylish Italian restaurant in a traditional Hakata house with a great atmosphere, serving pizza and sake (Fukuoka)
Hello! I'm Yumi Kuroishi, a writer who connects the city of Fukuoka with its people.
This time, we will introduce a popular "Japanese x Italian" restaurant where you can enjoy authentic pizza made with seasonal vegetables and sake from all over Japan in the relaxing atmosphere of an old Japanese house!
A collaboration of Japanese and Italian cuisine! Enjoy a meal in a stylish old-fashioned house at Kamata Seisakusho (Gokushocho, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City)
Kamata Seisakusho is located a 4-minute walk from Gion Station on the Fukuoka City Subway Airport Line, along Okeyamachi Street in Gofukusho-cho, one block away from Taihaku Street.
Founded in 2017, the restaurant serves Italian cuisine, mainly wood-fired pizza, and Japanese sake, with the concept of combining Italian and Japanese cuisine.

The restaurant, which was renovated from an old house built about 80 years ago, has a total of 30 seats. There are 10 counter seats on the first floor and 20 table seats on the second floor, and the restaurant can be rented out exclusively.
You can enjoy your meal in a calm and sophisticated atmosphere.
Must-try oven-baked pizza with plenty of vegetables! 3 recommended menu items
Kamada Seisakusho's signature pizza is made from handmade dough using an original blend of ancient wheat flour and baked in the store's oven. It is characterized by the generous use of carefully selected vegetables procured directly from farmers around the country, including those grown without pesticides and naturally.
The menu changes depending on the season as they use seasonal vegetables, but there are always around 10 different types available. The pizzas are smaller than regular pizzas, so it's recommended to order several and share them.
The most popular dish is the Margherita (2,100 yen). The sweet and flavorful homemade tomato sauce is made with fresh, ripe tomatoes and a secret ingredient of Sicilian sun-dried tomatoes.

The dough is crispy on the outside and fluffy and chewy when you bite into it.
You can directly experience the deliciousness of each ingredient: rich tomato sauce, fresh domestic mozzarella cheese, fragrant basil, and fragrant dough.

Also worth checking out is the "Snack Pizza," a thin, light, crispy pizza topped with ingredients that go perfectly with alcohol!
There are three types, but the most recommended is the "Fresh Dried Boars Roe" (1,900 yen), a pizza topped with plenty of fresh dried mullet roe paste and cheese.

The salty taste of the bottarga makes it perfect for drinking!

By the way, all pizzas on the menu are available for takeout!

The most popular snack on the menu is the low-temperature cooked "Chicken Liver Marinated in Oil" (870 yen).
It has a melt-in-your-mouth texture and is irresistibly delicious. It's a must-order item!

You can rarely find sake in Kyushu! Sake from Fukushima and Nara
The lineup of sake is also irresistible for alcohol lovers, with many brands that are rare in Kyushu and only available in local areas such as Fukushima and Nara.

Every Sunday, the first floor is open as a standing bar called "Tachikama." The food is served in small bowls and the pizzas are small, so you can enjoy it even if you're alone.
You're sure to be surprised by the delicious pairing of pizza and Italian cuisine with sake. Be sure to give it a try. (Text by Kuroishi Yumi)
