[Lunch] Delicious pizza or pasta with appetizer and dessert! An Italian restaurant that's always full (Fukuoka)
Hello! I'm Yumi Kuroishi, a writer who connects the city of Fukuoka with its people.
This time, we will introduce a very popular Italian restaurant near Tojinmachi Shopping Street!
TRATTORIA Daje (Tojinmachi, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City) is an authentic Italian restaurant located close to the Tojinmachi shopping arcade, and is always full even on weekdays.
TRATTORIA Daje is located a 2-minute walk from Tojinmachi Station on the Subway Kuko Line.

This restaurant serves Italian home cooking, focusing on Roman cuisine, and even now, two years after opening, it remains a popular restaurant loved by local residents.
The restaurant has 6 counter seats, 4 table seats, and a semi-private room for 4 people in the back, for a total of 22 seats.

The warmth of the wood is complemented by large chairs, allowing you to relax and unwind.

This restaurant caters to a variety of occasions, from casual meals to small gatherings.
The restaurant's name comes from the Italian word "TRATTORIA" (a popular restaurant) and the Roman dialect "Daje" (let's go!), and embodies the owner's desire to "make it easy for people in Fukuoka to enjoy Italian home cooking."

The chefs are Noda Seiji (right) and Okada Yoshiyuki (left).

The two trained at Casareccio, an Italian restaurant in Hyogo Prefecture run by a chef from Rome, where they experienced the authentic flavors and atmosphere of Rome. After that, they each gained experience at different restaurants, honing their knowledge of food and wine while continuing to nurture their dream of "one day opening a restaurant together."
Now, at their long-awaited opening of TRATTORIA Daje, the two chefs work in perfect harmony as they prepare the food.
Another attraction is the warm service, where the chefs are always attentive to customers and always greet them. Regulars often come to enjoy the aromas wafting from the kitchen and casual conversation with the chef.
From appetizers to dessert! A luxurious lunch course with the best value for money
TRATTORIA Daje uses an abundance of seasonal local Fukuoka ingredients, including fresh vegetables from Itoshima and seafood sourced from the fishmongers in Tojinmachi Shopping Arcade, and offers dishes that make the most of the ingredients.
This time, we will introduce the "Today's Lunch Course" (2,500 yen), which can be enjoyed from Wednesday to Sunday!

The course menu changes daily and includes an assortment of appetizers, a main course (pizza or pasta), a dessert of the day, and an after-meal drink.
All this and more for just 2,500 yen is great value! You can enjoy authentic Italian food without any stress, which is why it's popular with adult women too ♡

Here is what was on offer on the day I visited. *The menu is from the day of the interview and may change depending on the day.
Assorted appetizers

The appetizers change daily and are an assortment of six of the day's recommended dishes.
On this day, starting from the top right and going clockwise, the menu included homemade focaccia with a light truffle aroma, frittata, an Italian version of an omelette, sauteed mushrooms packed with flavor, polpette, beef meatballs stewed in tomato sauce, colorful marinated vegetables, and mortadella ham.
It looks gorgeous and offers a well-balanced variety of flavors in one dish.
Main course (pizza or pasta)
The daily main dish is your choice of one of four options: two types of pizza and two types of pasta.
The restaurant offers a lineup that never gets boring, with a thin, crispy "Roman pizza" and authentic pasta, including handmade ones, available daily.
On this day, we were given two special main dishes.
For "Pizza," I chose "Margherita." Made with Italian mozzarella cheese and fresh tomato sauce, it has an exquisite balance of the rich, milky flavor of the cheese and the refreshing acidity of the tomato.

The light dough brings out the delicious flavor of the ingredients, making it a delicious bun that you won't tire of until the last bite.

The restaurant offers a daily selection of around 10 different pasta dishes, including handmade pasta.
The dish in the photo is homemade ragu pasta made with Hiroshima's brand pork, Seto no Mochi Pork.

This dish is slowly stewed with aromatic vegetables such as onions, carrots, and celery in white wine. The umami of the pork, the sweetness of the vegetables, and the gorgeous aroma of the wine blend beautifully together to create a luxurious taste.

The pasta is thoroughly coated with sauce, and every bite has a rich, deep flavor that will bring a smile to your face!
Today's dessert and after-meal drink

Even the desserts after the meal are homemade. The dessert on this day was homemade ice cream. The moment you put it in your mouth, the gentle sweetness spreads and it melts smoothly in your mouth! You can feel the warmth that only handmade ice cream can have.
Choose from coffee, black tea, herbal tea, or espresso. The coffee, in particular, is authentic, brewed using the authentic Italian espresso machine "Simonelli"! The fragrant, deep flavor will further enrich the afterglow of your lunch.
Carefully selected by sommeliers! A selection of approximately 1,000 seasonal wines
The wines are carefully selected by Chef Noda, who is also a certified sommelier, and he selects the perfect bottle from around 1,000 different brands to match the season and the cuisine.

They will make recommendations to go with the meal of the day, so whether it's lunch or dinner, wine lovers can enjoy a luxurious experience they won't be able to resist.

It was a restaurant where you could enjoy the deliciousness and warmth of authentic Italian cuisine in your everyday life. The food, filled with the passion of the two chefs, and the pleasant service continue to bring smiles to many people's faces today.
