Yakuin Cafe: Popular for its artistic parfaits! "A wide selection of souvenirs" - a hideaway for adults open until 10pm

This time, we will introduce a wonderful sweets shop located in Yakuin, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City.

Enjoy parfaits and desserts at the adult hideaway cafe "amber" (Yakuin, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City)

Exit the Zoo and Botanical Gardens exit of Yakuin-Odori Station on the Nanakuma Subway Line and you will find the building directly across the street. Enter the building ("OAK VILLA BUREAU YAKUINODORI") from this entrance.

Located on the third floor is "amber," which opened on December 13, 2024.

When you arrive in front of the store, you'll be greeted by an illuminated sign. The logo is a "kinmokusei" (sweet osmanthus). The name "amber" comes from the association of osmanthus with the colors orange and amber.

The interior of the restaurant has a stylish, adult atmosphere with exposed concrete. There are five counter seats and four table seats.

Take-out is available from 11:00 to 21:00, and eat-in is available from 13:00 to 22:00 (last orders at 21:00), so don't miss out on the fact that it can also be used as a cafe in the evenings.

Near the register, there are sweets lined up that can be eaten in or taken out.

The lineup changes depending on the season and preparation, and on this day there were "Lemon Pound Cake" (320 yen each), "Chestnut Pound Cake" (340 yen each), "Financier Chocolat" (340 yen each), and "Financier" (300 yen each).

Cakes and other items in the display case can be eaten in or taken away.

On this day, the lineup included "Mont Blanc" (690 yen), "Seasonal Glass Dessert" (650 yen), "Shortcake" (700 yen), "Gâteau au Chocolat" (680 yen), and "Cream Puffs" (460 yen).

Other take-out items available include "Brown Sugar and Miso Cookies," "Matcha and Chamomile Cookies," "Caramel Sesame Cookies," "Chocolate Cookies," and "Sable Sale" (800 yen each).

Enjoy the lively atmosphere! Limited-time "Grape and Pumpkin Parfait"

The item we were looking for this time was the limited-time "Grape and Pumpkin Parfait" (2,150 yen each), which has been available since September 10, 2025. *It will be available until the end of October or early November 2025.

From the top, it is a gorgeous parfait that allows you to enjoy autumn ingredients to the fullest, with sesame tuile dentelle, muscat grapes, fresh cream, Kyoho grape sorbet, pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin pudding, pumpkin confit, and marinated grapes. It's almost like a work of art!

If you sit at the counter, you can watch the cooking process, which is a great attraction. The live feeling builds up anticipation and makes you want to eat this parfait!

The Kyoho grape sorbet has a sour, refreshing taste that will wake you up.

Next came pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin pudding, and pumpkin confit. All of them had the rich sweetness of pumpkin, but the textures were completely different, so each one left a different impression.

The confit in particular is carefully aged to bring out the depth of the ingredients' flavor, and I think it also plays an important role in adding texture to the food.

And at the bottom is the marinated grapes, which have a deep, rich flavor and a mature taste.

Autumn ingredients are delicious as expected! I was very satisfied ♡
