This time we will introduce "Ikesuto Sumi to Makiyakito Hakata Toritorito," a restaurant that opened in Tenjin on September 8, 2025, where you can enjoy chicken and fresh fish. They serve oyakodon (chicken and egg bowl) lunches during the day, and hearty charcoal grilled dishes and fresh fish in the evening. It's the perfect place for both working people's lunches and evening drinking parties.
A new izakaya restaurant near Tenjin Station, "Ikesuto Sumi to Makiyaki to Hakata Toritorito" (Tenjin, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City), is also popular for its lunch menu.
The shop is located along Showa-dori, a 3-minute walk from Tenjin Station on the Fukuoka City Subway Airport Line. A large fish tank is the landmark, and the sight of fish directly shipped from the Genkai Sea swimming in it is impressive.

The interior of the restaurant has a bright atmosphere where you can feel the warmth of wood. There is also a counter where you can see the charcoal fire burning right in front of you, giving you a truly immersive experience. It is also recommended for solo drinking!

For lunch, the specialty is oyakodon, which you can choose between black and white!
Lunchtime starts at 11:30. As soon as the restaurant opens, many people who work nearby visit, and it becomes so popular that it fills up.

For lunch, they offer the "Weekly Set Meal" (1,000 yen), which changes the main dish every week, the "Chicken Nanban and Sashimi Set Meal" (1,200 yen), and the "Luxurious Seafood Bowl and Chicken Nanban Set Meal" (1,500 yen). All of them are appealing, but the one that is particularly noteworthy is their specialty, the "Local Chicken Oyakodon (with sashimi)" (black and white, 1,100 yen each)!

"Black" is made with charcoal-grilled local chicken and egg.
The fragrant aroma and chewy texture of the local chicken create a powerful flavor that goes perfectly with rice. Local chicken is often cut into small pieces, but here each piece is very large, making it extremely satisfying to eat!

The "Shiro" is impressive for its fluffy egg whites that melt gently in your mouth. The fizzy texture that hits you the moment you put it in your mouth is also interesting. Meat and onions are hidden under the egg whites. It's a light and enjoyable drink.

Both sets come with sashimi, salad, pickles, and a bowl of hot water soup with meatballs, making for a satisfyingly filling meal. You'll be happy to know that you can enjoy not only meat but also fresh sashimi!

The surface is seared over charcoal to bring out the fragrant flavor of the fish, and the aroma of the charcoal blends beautifully with the fish's natural flavor, making it a perfect match with alcohol.

Other popular dishes include the "Grilled Bone-in Twisted Chicken Thigh" (1,859 yen) and luxurious course meals.
