This time, we will introduce a stylish restaurant specializing in steamed meat in Kokurakita Ward, Kitakyushu City.

Enjoy high-quality meat at reasonable prices at Fukunaga Sangyo Co., Ltd.'s "Takiniku GYU-CYAN Kokura" restaurant (Kyomachi, Kokurakita Ward, Kitakyushu City)

Fukunaga Sangyo Co., Ltd.'s restaurant "Takiniku GYU-CYAN Kokura" is located about a 7-minute walk from the south exit of JR Kokura Station.

This popular "taniku specialty restaurant" has its main store in Kagoshima and eight branches across Japan, including one in Ohashi, Minami Ward, Fukuoka.

This restaurant is known for its delicious dishes and alcoholic drinks, mainly featuring steamed meat. It has a reputation for being able to enjoy high-quality meat at reasonable prices. The meat is sourced from Fukunaga Sangyo Co., Ltd., a wholesaler specializing in beef.

There are many shields inside the restaurant, and expectations are high, as you can imagine that you will be eating high-quality meat!

The restaurant has table seating and counter seating, giving it a slightly adult atmosphere.

A new sensation! Enjoy exquisite cooked meat

This time, I ordered two of the restaurant's recommended dishes.

This is the "Wagyu Mixed Offal Cooked Meat" (5,830 yen for two servings), a menu item exclusive to the Kokura store.

"Taki-niku" is a dish that originated in Kagoshima. The meat is "cooked" rather than grilled on a specially shaped, patented iron plate. This restaurant uses "Kamii beef" for their taki-niku.

The iron plate has a round depression in the center, which allows the ingredients placed there to be steamed in the broth while being cooked.

The ingredients cannot be cooked if they are piled high on top of the cavity, so the pile is broken up and the excess ingredients are placed around the edge in a donut shape. Once the center is cooked, eat it, then add the ingredients from the periphery to the center and continue eating.

The staff will cook the meat at your table, so even beginners can enjoy it with ease. The cooking is done to perfection, and it's a spectacular sight to watch.

It can be enjoyed together like hot pot, so it's sure to be a hit with the group.

The soup stock is based on sweet soy sauce and has a light and mild taste.

As the rice cooks, it thickens and the flavor of the ingredients is released, resulting in a stronger taste towards the end.

It's delicious as is, of course, but it's also great that you can enjoy it with your favorite flavors, such as yakiniku sauce, vinegar, and chili bean paste!

I thought it would be a waste to leave this delicious broth behind, but I was able to enjoy it all with the udon noodles at the end of the meal.

This is the "Top Quality Kagoshima Black Beef Sirloin Steak" (3,388 yen). Only available at the Kokura store, you can enjoy the finest Kagoshima Black Beef steak, delivered directly from Fukunaga Sangyo Co., Ltd.

This luxurious dish allows you to enjoy A5-ranked Wagyu beef in a hearty manner. The fatty meat was incredibly tender and delicious!

It is already seasoned, but adding wasabi or edible soy sauce makes it even more delicious.

By the way, "edible soy sauce" is a soy sauce-based sauce with plenty of fried garlic and white sesame seeds. It might be easier to understand if you think of it as the soy sauce version of "edible chili oil."
