Tenjin One Building Cafe: A premium hotel-run space offering a selection of sweets for souvenirs (Fukuoka)

This time, we will introduce a luxurious cafe directly operated by a hotel located in ONE FUKUOKA BLDG. (commonly known as One Building), a new attraction in Tenjin, Fukuoka.

The hotel's directly managed premium cafe "THE CAFE by ONE FUKUOKA HOTEL"

THE CAFE by ONE FUKUOKA HOTEL is located on the first floor of One Building along Meiji Dori.

This cafe with a terrace is operated by ONE FUKUOKA HOTEL, located on the top 18th and 19th floors of the building, and is open to anyone, even non-guests.

The interior of the store has a modern design that incorporates Japanese elements throughout, such as furniture legs that are modeled after the columns of shrines, latticework, and the texture of wood grain.

A high-quality, comfortable space that combines luxury and serenity.

Various types of seating, including counter seats and sofa seats, create a sense of contrast throughout the space, and the tables are spaced just far enough apart that you can relax and enjoy your time in comfort, depending on the occasion.

On sunny days, you can enjoy a relaxing cafe time on the terrace facing Meiji Dori, feeling the breeze of the city.

There is also a separate room with a take-out corner on the other side of the corridor within One Building.

Most of the menu items, from the famous Basque cheesecake to drinks, are available for takeout, making them a great gift or souvenir.

From around 2pm on weekdays, the area gets crowded with domestic and international tourists, but the atmosphere seems to be relatively calm after the evening.

A special sweets menu that will leave you in bliss with just one bite

The menu includes the famous "Basque Cheesecake" (1,000 yen) and the limited-time "Matcha Basque Cheesecake" (1,200 yen), as well as special sweets such as "Milk Soft Serve" (700 yen) and "ONE Coffee Jelly" (800 yen), which are made using the highest quality Hokkaido milk.

You can also add coffee or cafe latte to any menu item with the "Drink Set" (+500 yen).

Another popular item is the "Morning Baked Financier" (400 yen each), which comes in three flavors: plain, chocolate, and Earl Grey.

These financiers are never prepared in advance and are baked to perfection by our pastry chefs every morning, resulting in a luxurious, soft, melt-in-your-mouth texture.

They also have a happy hour from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, where you can enjoy alcoholic drinks such as beer and sparkling wine with snacks for the affordable price of 700 yen.

We tried the famous "Basque Cheesecake" and the two-layered "Cold Crema Coffee"!

On this day, I had the Basque Cheesecake as a set with Cold Crema Coffee (600 yen each / 500 yen with a drink).

"Basque Cheesecake" is a signature menu item that is also served at affiliated stores, "WITH THE STYLE FUKUOKA" in Hakata and "THE LUIGANS Spa & Resort" in Umi-no-Nakamichi.

The outside is baked to a crispy, fragrant finish with a slightly bitter taste, while the inside is creamy and smooth.

The lemon jam, exclusive to "THE CAFE by ONE FUKUOKA HOTEL," adds a refreshing acidity that adds a pleasant accent to the rich flavor.

"Cold Crema Coffee" is a two-layered iced coffee made with mellow coffee topped with fine foam.

It has a creamy and mellow taste, making it a new and refreshing drink that is easy to drink even for those who don't usually drink much coffee.

The coffee is made with an original blend of beans that carefully balances acidity and bitterness, and is carefully roasted in small batches, resulting in a rich flavor and gorgeous aroma that is a major attraction.
