Amazing value and portions! Delicious Taiwanese restaurant with lunch starting from 780 yen (Fukuoka)
Hello. I am Yorimichi, the owner of the blog "Yorimichi's Fukuoka Introduction," which introduces delicious restaurants in Fukuoka.
I had always had the impression that Taiwanese restaurants often offered good value for money, but this time I was even more surprised to find a restaurant that offered lunch starting from just 780 yen.
I just can't help but introduce this...!
Amazing value for money for both lunch and a la carte dishes! "Taiwanese Cuisine Morigen" (Omuta City)
So we headed to Taguma in Omuta City.
For some reason, the map app showed me a completely ridiculous route, so it might be smarter to set "Steak Gusto Omuta" or "World Plus Gym Omuta" as your destination.
At the very back of the building, where Gyukaku used to be, is where Morigen Taiwanese Cuisine is now located.

Apparently it's scheduled to open in 2025. Parking won't be a problem, but if you don't know about this store, you might just pass it by.

Well then, I'll come again.
The restaurant is equipped with sofa seats, booth seats, tatami rooms, and counter seats, and even chairs for small children, creating an atmosphere where families can enjoy a relaxing meal.
Check out the menu with amazing prices that will make you want to comment!
Now, let's take a look at the menu.
The moment you open the menu, you'll be tempted to point out the prices. For example, a set lunch is 780 yen, and even if you add ramen to that lunch, it's still 880 yen.
It's so cheap that you might start to wonder, "Is this really Reiwa?"
The all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink option, which includes all menu items (with some exceptions) and drinks including draft beer, costs 3,280 yen for two hours.
I've been to over 1,000 restaurants, but I don't think I've ever come across an all-you-can-eat/all-you-can-drink option that has such high expectations.

This quality is surprising for only 780 yen! Lunch review
This time I ordered the "Sweet and Sour Pork Lunch" (780 yen)

Is sweet and sour pork really that delicious?
The moment I took a bite, I couldn't help but exclaim in surprise.

The vegetables are crisp and the tender meat crumbles in your mouth, which is irresistible.

I like the way a single fried dumpling is placed on top.

The salad is also refreshing and makes a perfect palate cleanser.

I'm honestly surprised at the quality for 780 yen.
You'll be amazed at the volume of the dishes!
After eating the sweet and sour pork, I was turned on and ordered a variety of other dishes.
Let's start with the "Shrimp Mayo" (980 yen).

This tastes like a cross between shrimp chili and shrimp mayonnaise and is really delicious.

"Fried young chicken" (980 yen), this may not be very clear in the photo,

It's so big it makes me laugh.
To give you an idea, it's about 2 to 3 times the size of regular fried chicken.
There are five of these, but honestly, one plate is enough to fill you up. They're also super tender. The juicy meat juices fill your mouth.

And the most shocking dish was the "Mazesoba" (1,080 yen).
I want you to take a look at this. The size of the container and the contents don't seem to match at all...

No matter how you look at it, it seems like you put in too much.
Break the egg in the middle and mix it in

This is so voluminous it's shocking.
I'd imagine it contains about three servings.
I normally eat a lot, but the amount doesn't seem to decrease at all even as I continue to eat, to the point where I worry whether I'll be able to finish it all.

And yet the taste is impeccable.
The sauce isn't as spicy as you might think, and once you mix it from the bottom up to make sure it's well combined, it's so delicious you'll find yourself eating it with gusto.
It also contains thickly sliced pork, making it incredibly filling.
If it's your first time, ordering this and fried chicken and sharing it with about three people might be just the right amount.

Finish with sweets.
The "Chocolate Ice Cream" (380 yen) is small enough to fit in the palm of a child's hand. It's just the right size. It's the perfect way to finish off the meal.

Every dish at Seigen was undoubtedly delicious.
With so much fun at this price, I can't think of any reason not to come back.
This Taiwanese restaurant will satisfy both your stomach and your heart. Be sure to give it a try! (Text by Yorimichi)
