From Wednesday, August 6th to Tuesday, August 26th, 2025, Kamakura-based confectionery brands "Kamakura Goro Honten" and "KAMAKURA Cha no Fuku" will be opening stores simultaneously in the event space on the second basement floor of the main building of "Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin Store."

First pop-up store in Fukuoka! "Kamakura Goro Main Store"
Kamakura Goro Honten is a Japanese confectionery shop with its main store on Komachi-dori in the ancient city of Kamakura. Its popular Kamakura sweets, including the famous Kamakura Half Moon, known for its adorable moon rabbit logo, are loved by people of all ages for their taste and charming appearance. Now, Kamakura Goro Honten has opened its first pop-up store in Fukuoka!
The brand will celebrate its 35th anniversary in May this year, and to commemorate this, they will be releasing a summer-only sweets box, which will also be on sale at this pop-up.

Their signature product, "Kamakura Hangetsu," has been a best-seller for over 25 years!
Kamakura Hangetsu (5 pieces for 648 yen, 10 pieces (5 pieces each of Ogura and Matcha) for 1,296 yen) is a long-selling product that has been on the market for over 25 years and is a signature product with a cute moon rabbit mark.

The large half-moon shaped gaufrettes have a subtle sweetness and a refined, fragrant taste. Each one is carefully crafted to achieve a crispy, crunchy, and crispy texture.
There are two standard flavors: Ogura and Matcha. Each has finely ground adzuki beans and matcha kneaded into the dough, and is filled with a generous amount of light and fluffy cream.

"Kamakura Choco Sandwich" (6 pieces for 799 yen) is a full moon-shaped waffle that is a familiar sight at "Kamakura Hangetsu" and is boldly filled with thickly sliced crunchy chocolate.

The waffle has a fragrant caramel nut flavor made with baked almonds, while the crunch chocolate contains three types of crunch ingredients: "Bitter Black Crunch" made from crushed cocoa biscuits, "Roasted Almond Crunch" made from crushed almond biscuits, and "Crunchy Soybean Crush" made from coarsely ground roasted soybeans.
You can enjoy the delicate texture and sound.
Assorted Japanese sweets "Tsukiyose"
"Tsukiyose" is a set that allows you to enjoy Japanese sweets from Kamakura. The fantastical limited edition package was created to celebrate the brand's 35th anniversary, and features the impressive mascot rabbit "Kibori" looking up at the summer night sky of Kamakura.

Also appearing at the same time will be "KAMAKURA Cha no Fuku," a matcha sweets specialty store born in Kamakura and produced by "Kamakura Goro Honten" and opened in 2024.
The cute twin lucky deer "Kanoka, the Deer of Sweets" and "Chanoka, the Deer of Tea" are the symbolic characters.

The brand's most popular masterpiece, "Matcha Chocolate Sandwich Cha no Fuku"
The richly colored and fragrant "Matcha Chocolate Sandwich Cha no Fuku" (5 pieces for 972 yen, 8 pieces for 1,620 yen) is a signature product of the brand, with an impressive cross-section filled with ingredients.
It uses Uji matcha from Yanoen, a tea shop founded in 1836.

Crunchy almonds, walnuts, and rice puffs are mixed with smooth, thick-cut Uji matcha chocolate, which is sandwiched between cookies made with Uji matcha and macadamia nuts.
Just take a bite and the rich flavor and aroma of matcha spreads throughout your mouth!
