[Tenjin Area Izakaya] A popular yakiniku restaurant with excellent marinade and reasonable prices (Fukuoka)
Hello! I'm Fukuoka Nyakki, a writer who enjoys discovering new food in and around Fukuoka city.
This time, we will introduce a popular yakiniku restaurant located in Daimyo, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City.
The homemade marinade is incredibly delicious! Popular Daimyo restaurant "Yakiniku Ren" (Daimyo, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City)
In the Daimyo area, where narrow alleys are packed with small shops and restaurants, Yakiniku Ren is popular for its delicious yakiniku at reasonable prices. As night falls, the restaurant becomes bustling with office workers and students.
It's about a 6-minute walk from Akasaka Station on the Fukuoka City Subway Airport Line. The exterior with Hangul characters is eye-catching.

This is a restaurant where you can enjoy super spicy yakiniku, which was featured on a nationally broadcast TV show hosted by a popular celebrity. However, I don't like super spicy food, so this time I had the regular version.

When you enter the restaurant, there are 10 counter seats on the right, 2 tables on the left, and 24 seats in a tatami room (sunken kotatsu) in the back. Gas yakiniku grills are lined up on the tables, giving it a somewhat Showa-era atmosphere. There are no partitions between the seats, so you can see the whole area, creating a spacious and open feel.
As the number of customers gradually increased, the atmosphere became lively with conversations about work, hobbies, and leisure, and it felt like the ultimate popular yakiniku restaurant, very comfortable.
Even so, you can enjoy yakiniku by yourself without any worries at the counter seats.

The shop sign is written in Hangul, but the staff are all Japanese. They were all very friendly and approachable.
A wide variety of reasonably priced menu items
The first thing we tried was the 100% Wagyu beef "Raw Hamburg Steak" (580 yen each), the shop's most recommended dish.
The meat is pressed tightly onto the roaster and cooked until golden brown. The meat is bursting with flavor and is delicious enough without any sauce.

The most popular menu item is "Renchan Kalbi" (580 yen). It is marinated in a sweet sauce, and the flavor of the meat and the sauce are in perfect balance!

The smell of grilling meat and the fire rising from the roaster will whet your appetite!
You could eat as many as you want. It's best to cook them until they're slightly browned.

Next up is the "Black Pork Belly" (580 yen). It is seasoned with salt and pepper, so we squeezed some lemon over it for a refreshing taste.

The "Top Hormone" (680 yen) is also a must-try. It is marinated in a spicy sauce and is the perfect accompaniment to beer.

This is the Korean-style changer "Long Leg Octopus Kimchi" (680 yen), which features the firm texture of the octopus and the delicious spiciness of the kimchi.

"Cold Tofu with Chives and Sauce" (450 yen) is a perfect match of the flavor of chives, the spicy kick of chili bean paste, and the mellowness of tofu.

The "Lotus Choregi Salad" (680 yen) was packed with an overwhelming amount of vegetables.

I also tried the "Asanoha Chanja Onigiri" (200 yen each), which isn't on the menu yet. The sesame flavor is fragrant and delicious, and I could eat as many as I wanted.

The staff told me, "It's delicious even without dipping it in sauce," so this time I ate all the meat as it was, just as it was grilled, without any sauce. This is proof that they are confident in their taste! The saltiness of the seasoned black pork and how well the meat was marinated in sauce were just right.
Of course, you can also dip it in the special sauce served on a separate plate.
All the meat we had was addictively tasty, and the prices were generally reasonable.
In addition to the ones introduced above, there are other delicious menus and courses, as well as great value lunch options, making this a yakiniku restaurant that we highly recommend to everyone.
If you like spicy food, be sure to try the super spicy option. The highest rank is "To the Other World."
