A hidden shaved ice shop open only on weekends, featuring a selection of exquisite items showcasing the skills of pastry chefs (Hakata Station East, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City)

Hello! I'm Hakata Aya, a writer who loves hot information about Fukuoka.

This time, we will introduce a hidden shaved ice shop that is secretly popular and is only open on weekends.

Enjoy the hidden feel of renting a bar! "Harunokoori" Shaved Ice Shop (Hakata Station East, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City)

Harunokoori is located about a 10-minute walk from JR Hakata Station.

Pastry chef Yuichiro Murase of the baked goods shop Okashi wa Kagaku in Odabe, Sawara Ward, Fukuoka City, rents out the small restaurant bar "Colorful Meat and Wine Halu" on weekends only (summer only).

The interior of the shop is a calm space with dim lighting. Even though it is daytime, it has a special feeling as if you are in a cafe at night!

The ice used is "Hakata Pure Ice," a highly transparent type made from natural water in Fukuoka, which results in shaved ice that is as fluffy as cotton.

The most popular item is this one! "Amaou strawberry shaved ice (with Shingen mochi)"

If you're a strawberry lover, you can't miss this one. The jewel-like appearance of the "Amaou Strawberry Shaved Ice (with Shingen Mochi)" (1,600 yen) will make your heart skip a beat.

In order to bring out the sweetness of the strawberries, they deliberately don't use honey, but finish it with a jam sauce made from Senga Sengana strawberries and raspberries.

This sauce has an exquisite balance of sweet and sour flavor and thickness, so you will never get bored of it no matter where you scoop it.

The irresistible Japanese aroma! "Roasted Black Sesame Syrup and Kurosuki Kinako Shaved Ice (topped with Habutae Mochi)"

Next on our list is the "Roasted Black Sesame Syrup and Kurosuki Kinako Shaved Ice (topped with Habutae Mochi)" (1,300 yen).

The homemade syrup is not too sweet, and has a deep flavor with a strong black sesame taste. What's more, the melted habutae mochi poured on top enhances the Japanese sweet feel, making it taste just like shaved ice from a Japanese confectionery shop.

The rich flavor of the roasted black sesame and Kurosu kinako (roasted soybean flour) is soothing, with a gentle aroma that spreads every time you take a bite. It's a taste for adults!

For those who like refreshing flavors! "Honey Milk Lemon Made with Itoshima Lemons (Served with Shingen Mochi)"

If you prefer something lighter, we recommend the "Itoshima Lemon Honey Milk Lemon (served with Shingen Mochi)" (1,500 yen).

Apparently they use lemons from Itoshima, including the peel, which gives it a rich fragrance with little bitterness. The refreshing taste packed with the freshness of lemon is perfect for a hot day.

They also have vanilla condensed milk that you can add to your liking, so it's fun to be able to change the flavor to suit your taste.

And it's topped with a transparent homemade Shingen mochi! Just having it on top of the ice gets you excited.
