[Dazaifu Cafe Lunch] Incredibly delicious and beautiful! The popular curry restaurant is back (Fukuoka)

This time, we will introduce lunch options at a popular cafe in Dazaifu City.

"ton" is a popular cafe near Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine (Dazaifu City)

Cafe "ton" is located about a 3-minute walk from Nishitetsu Dazaifu Station. Turn right at the first torii gate on the approach to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine.
*The correct way is to put a macron above the O.

It is located in a facility called "NISHIKIMACHI," which also houses "Loop a Bread" and "Sushi Hirano."

This is a sister store of the popular cafe "TAGSTA" in Fukuoka city. *The correct name is a ring symbol above the last A.

This popular restaurant offers "two ton cheesecake," which allows you to enjoy two types of cheesecake at once, "two ton pasta" (which changes monthly), which allows you to enjoy two different flavors of noodles and sauce, and "seasonal mille-feuille."

The restaurant has impressive large windows, high ceilings and an open atmosphere, and you can relax at the table seats.

Enjoy "Mustard Shrimp Curry" at "towns"! A popular lunch spot

I'm looking forward to the lunch from 11:30 to 15:00.

The menu includes the classic "Apple Pork Ragu Pasta" (1,400 yen), the monthly changing "Two Ton Pasta," and even "Towns Mustard Shrimp Curry" (1,400 yen).

Towns was a popular cheesecake and curry restaurant located in Tamagawa-cho, Minami-ku, Fukuoka City. It sadly closed in December 2024, but its sister restaurant, ton, is bringing back its beloved mustard shrimp curry!

On this day, I chose the "Curry Set" (1,890 yen), which includes curry and rice, an appetizer (with soup), and a choice of drink.

The appetizer dish, made with seasonal vegetables, was a monaka (traditional Japanese wafer). On the day, it was filled with salmon, grapes, and onions. Its gorgeous appearance got me excited.

It came with a homemade consommé soup with a mild flavor.

The long-awaited "Towns Mustard Shrimp Curry" was brought out.

The curry has a strong mustard aroma but is not too spicy and has a very mild taste. The shrimp is plump and the flavor spreads the moment you put it in your mouth.

It has the same addictive, exquisite balance as the "towns" album, and I couldn't help but shout in my head, "This is it!"

It's mild, so even those who don't like spicy food should be fine.

What's most pleasing is the generous amount of colorful vegetables that are served with it. King oyster mushrooms, tomatoes, pumpkin, green vegetables, and more are gorgeous in appearance and taste. You can enjoy different textures with each bite of the curry, so the excitement continues as you eat.

The acidity of the marinade adds a nice accent, so you won't get bored of it until the last bite.

The drink of choice is "Coffee (ICED)" made with "TAGSTA" beans.

The robust flavor left my mouth feeling refreshed and refreshed. I was able to relax and enjoy the lingering aftertaste of the curry.

For an additional 400 yen, you can also get a "dessert set" with a "two ton cheesecake" on top of your lunch.

Also, "ton's Sankei Shaved Ice 2025" will be available from July 7, 2025, for a limited time only during the summer, so be sure to check it out! There are three varieties: "Strawberry Eaton Mess Shaved Ice" (1,980 yen), "Peach and Earl Grey Shaved Ice" (2,200 yen), and "Matcha, Shiratama, and Black Bean Shaved Ice" (1,980 yen), all of which are luxurious treats that are a feast for the eyes.
