This time, I'd like to introduce our favorite cafe, located on the approach to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine.

A must-visit when strolling around Dazaifu! Cafe Shiraume (Dazaifu City) where you can enjoy a view of the approach to the shrine

Cafe Shiraume is located a 3-minute walk from Nishitetsu Dazaifu Station.
(※) The official name of the store has an accent mark "accent taege" above the "e"

It is located on the second floor of a building called "UEDA BLD" along the approach to the shrine.

The restaurant has both table and counter seating, making it a great place to take a break in a busy area.

If you are eating in, you are limited to one order per person.

By the way, you can bring your own food and drinks, so it's a perfect place to stop by for a break while sightseeing in Dazaifu.

We especially recommend the counter seats, where you can enjoy a view of the approach to the shrine.

Two types of fluffy shaved ice: strawberry and matcha! You'll want to try both♡

The highlight is the shaved ice, available for a limited time until around October 2025. There are two flavors, "Strawberry" (1,100 yen) and "Matcha" (1,100 yen), with fluffy shaved ice drizzled in plenty of syrup.

There's a mound of ice on top of the masu. The overwhelming visuals are sure to get you excited!

The part covered in condensed milk and strawberry syrup is quite sweet, while the chopped frozen strawberries add a nice texture, refreshing taste, and subtle tartness.

This is "Matcha" (1,100 yen). It is covered in plenty of matcha syrup and topped with plenty of red bean paste. It is also topped with brown sugar syrup and condensed milk.

There's even a matcha-flavored warabimochi filling underneath, making it more than satisfying.

It was like a shaved ice version of zenzai and was absolutely delicious. The sweetness of the brown sugar syrup neutralized the bitterness of the matcha, making it easy for even children to eat.

Both the "Strawberry" and "Matcha" flavors were incredibly delicate and delicious, contrary to their striking appearance!
