The City Bakery from New York makes its first appearance in the Hakata area!

THE CITY BAKERY is a bakery from New York with stores all over Japan.

In Fukuoka, we have stores at Solaria Plaza in Tenjin and Heiwa, Minami-ku, Fukuoka City (the Solaria Plaza store is temporarily closed this fall due to relocation and renovation on the same floor).

On Friday, July 18th, 2025, this popular restaurant will open a new "bar & grill" and "bakery & cafe" at "CANAL Gourmet Street KUOHKA" in Canal City Hakata, the largest outlet in the area!

"KUOHKA" is a new gourmet spot that has gathered 21 restaurants that will attract the attention of gourmets. Among the restaurants of various genres such as Japanese cuisine, French cuisine, and snacks, "THE CITY BAKERY" will also be showcasing a new business model.

"THE CITY BAKERY BAR & GRILL Canal City Hakata" is a teppanyaki restaurant run by "THE CITY BAKERY."

They serve teppanyaki made with fresh Kyushu seafood, meat, and vegetables, as well as homemade bread.

From a light drink to a full drink, you can enjoy a variety of dishes with sauces that will make you want to dip bread in them, and that go well with beer and wine.

A bakery and cafe will also open next to "THE CITY BAKERY BAR & GRILL Canal City Hakata."

The City Bakery has been loved by many people since it first opened in Fukuoka 10 years ago, but this is its first store in the Hakata area. It will be stocking a wide range of popular products, including bread and pastries that recreate New York recipes.
