[Hakata Station Souvenirs] The long-awaited opening of a baked goods specialty store on Ippin Street! (Fukuoka)

Hello! I'm Hakata Aya, a writer who shares the hottest information about Fukuoka.

This time, we will introduce the second store of a popular baked goods shop that has opened at JR Hakata Station.

Eat O'Kashi Hakata, a baked goods specialty store, has opened on Ippin Street (Hakataeki Chuo-gai, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City)

Eat O'Kashi Hakata opened on July 1, 2025, inside Ippin Street, a popular souvenir spot at JR Hakata Station.

It's on the right side as you head towards Chikushi Exit, near Seattle's Best Coffee.

Eat O'Kashi originally started as an online store in 2020. Its "special baked goods" that brighten up your time at home became a hot topic, and in 2022, the flagship store opened in Heiwa, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City.

And this summer, it's finally coming to Hakata Station! There are sure to be many fans who are happy that it's now easier to go shopping! Another great thing about it is that you can drop in between souvenir hunting or travelling.

This shop is filled with love for baked goods and the concept of "small gifts in everyday life."

Cute baked goods lined up in a natural and warm space

The store is lined with jars of Diamant Cookies, cut-type pound cakes, and gorgeous sables. It's like a treasure trove of sweets, and it's exciting!

Each sweet has a limited-edition seasonal flavor, so you can enjoy discovering new flavors every time you visit.

The shop's specialty and most popular item is the pound cake, which is baked once and then quickly frozen, ensuring that the flavor of the ingredients is tightly locked in, resulting in a premium aroma and texture.

There are various flavors available, including "Salted Caramel" (2,500 yen), "Earl Grey" (2,500 yen), "Orange & Hazelnut" (2,500 yen), and "Pistachio" (2,500 yen).

There are also flavors available in cut pieces, such as "Pound Cake Orange / Salted Caramel / Blueberry & Lemon / Earl Grey" (460 yen each), so it might be a good idea to buy a sample first.

This is the "Herb Cookies" (980 yen), a top recommendation from the manager of the "Hakata store." The dough is fragrant with thyme and rosemary, accented with mellow flaked salt from England. Looks delicious!

The "Cheese Cookies" (450 yen) is a set of a salty cookie made with cheddar cheese and white pepper, and a fragrant Camembert cookie. You'll find yourself addicted to the endless cycle of sweet and salty flavors.

This is the "Coconut Chocolate Croquant & Lemon Amber Sugar" (980 yen), a set of lemon amber sugar and croquant. The yellow of the amber sugar is refreshing!

Enjoy the contrast between the crispy coconut and chocolate croquant and the crunchy sweet and sour lemon.

The "Freshly Baked Financiers" (vanilla 300 yen, pistachio for a limited time 350 yen each) on the left of the photo are so popular that they sell out quickly.

The "Lemonade Cake" (500 yen) is a lemon cake soaked in spiced syrup and is only available seasonally. This cake makes full use of the tart taste of lemon, and the surface is coated with a sweet and sour apricot and passion fruit jam. It has a refreshing taste that is perfect for summer.

Try our recommendations! Amazingly delicious

I took home three of the restaurant's recommended dishes and enjoyed them at home.

Let's start with the "Pound Cake Salted Caramel" (460 yen) at the bottom right of the photo.

The sweetness of the caramel is accented with salt, creating a very elegant taste. It goes perfectly with coffee. It seems to be very popular with children too.

"Citron Sable" (400 yen / photo on the left) is kneaded with lemon peel, and has a crispy, crumbly texture that is addictive! The lemon shape is also cute, so it would make a great little gift.

"Financier" (300 yen / top right of photo) is a dish made with plenty of fermented butter and baked a little stronger. The nutty aroma and just the right amount of elasticity made for a pleasant taste!
