[Fukuoka Event] Popular gourmet food gathering at Hakata Hankyu "Asian Festival" (July 9-14)

This time, it is the "Asian Festival 2025" where you can experience the vitality and charm of Asian countries.

[July 9-14, 2025] This time, the focus is on Thailand! "Asian Festival 2025" will be held at Hakata Hankyu

The Asian Festival 2025 will be held for six days from Wednesday, July 9th to Monday, July 14th, 2025 at the 8th floor event hall of Hakata Hankyu.

A total of 31 stores, including local gourmet food and miscellaneous goods from Asian countries, will be set up on the 8th floor event hall. You can feel like you are traveling in Asia while touring the venue.

This is the fourth time the event has been held, and it will feature Thailand, a country that is radiating new energy by actively incorporating modern trends into its history and traditions. From popular spicy gourmet food to fashion, kitchenware, and miscellaneous goods, there will be a wide selection of attractive Thai products.

Enjoy Asian cuisine in a food stall atmosphere with live demonstrations and sales!

Classic Thai gourmet food and popular Asian sweets will be on display, with 12 stores demonstrating their products. There will also be a rest area where you can enjoy a food stall-like atmosphere.

[Demonstration] Thailand's "Asian Kitchen Cafe Momofuku" Khao Soi (1,650 yen)

Asian Kitchen Cafe Momofuku, an Asian multicultural restaurant in Osaka that has won numerous awards including the Main Award at the Japanese Curry Awards 2021, will be making its first appearance in the Kyushu region.

"Khao Soi" is a curry ramen with two types of noodles, fried and boiled, that have a fun texture. The curry soup is a combination of rich chicken broth, coconut milk, and homemade spices, and is fragrant, sweet, spicy and creamy.

[Demonstration/Limited to Hakata Hankyu] Vietnam "Vietnam Cafe Ye Tung" Fruit Cha (918 yen)

"Fruit Chae" is now available at "Ye Tung", a Vietnamese cafe in Kobe where the owner, who has lived in Vietnam for 15 years, recreates the local flavors he has encountered while traveling around the country! This classic Vietnamese dessert is made by mixing colorful fruits and avocado with coconut milk.

[Demonstration] Taiwan "Food and Agriculture Acrobatic Group" Immoral Chicken Pile (1,350 yen)

Next up is the "Immoral Chicken Pie" from "Food and Agriculture Acrobatics Group." This fried chicken is addictive with its moist chicken breast, crispy tapioca flour, and crunchy spices.

The Tom Yum Noodles at Thai Restaurant Bandar are flavored with spicy Thai miso, lime juice, and shrimp extract.

[Demonstration] Vietnam "Vietnamese Cuisine Xin Chao" Chicken Pho (935 yen)

"Chicken Pho" from the popular Vietnamese restaurant "Xin Chao" in Fukuoka City. This is a bowl of condensed deliciousness from vegetables and chicken.

Other items on offer include "Towel Cake" (from 864 yen), a Chinese sweet that looks just like a towel and is a hot topic on social media, and "Moon Cake" (486 yen) from "Fortune Moon Cake," "Boiled Gyoza" (4 pieces for 550 yen) from "Taiwan Tongke Gyozakan," which is opening for the first time at Hakata Hankyu, and "Green Curry" (1,430 yen) from "Asian Restaurant Aroi," an Asian restaurant in Chikugo City. The lineup is sure to be dazzling.

Popular character "Mamuang-chan" appears ♡ Cute goods also available

The "It's Thailand, After All Mamuang-chan Exhibition" will also be held, where you can discover the rich charm of Thailand from various angles!

"Mamuang-chan" is a popular character created by Wisut Ponnimit, also known as Tam-kun, a Thai artist who has many fans in Japan. Mamuang means "mango" in Thai, and is a round, sweet, and slightly sour character that embraces your feelings.

The exhibition will feature original illustrations from "Tour of Thailand with Mamuang-chan Guidebook" published by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, as well as completely new illustrations created specifically for this exhibition.
