Also recommended as a gift! A popular and stylish baked goods shop that can also be used as a cafe (Iizuka City)
Hello. I'm Momo and I love going to cafes.
This time, we will introduce you to a wonderful baked goods store in Iizuka city.
A wide variety of baked goods available at "B and me Bake" (Iizuka City)
Baked goods shop B and me Bake is located on the first and second floors of a triangular building near the shopping mall Ai Town, a two-minute walk from Iizuka Bus Terminal.
The shop, which will open on July 3, 2022, offers around 20 different types of baked goods each day.
The glass entrance has a cute illustration of the shop's logo ♡ The "d" in "B and me Bake" is connected to a bowl, and the logo expresses the owner's desire to "create a shop that firmly connects me, my customers, and the community."

The sweet, delicious aroma of baked goods greets you as you enter the store ♡ The baked goods displayed in the display case can be taken away or eaten in the cafe space on the second floor.
The wide variety of "Canelés" (from 248 yen), "Donuts" (from 226 yen), and "Scones" (from 216 yen) are popular. I visited around 4pm on a Saturday, and some items were sold out... I recommend going early.

Individually wrapped handmade "Biscotti" (324 yen) and "Sable" (from 183 yen),

In addition to "Financiers" (from 226 yen), the shop also sells the original "BB Blend Coffee" (from 486 yen). It's also recommended as a gift♪

Go up the stairs at the back of the store to the cafe space on the second floor.

Enjoy delicious homemade sweets by eating in!
This time I went for eat-in. You choose your favorite baked goods from the display case on the first floor, place your order, and a staff member will bring it up to the second floor.
On the left is the "Plain Canelé" (253 yen), and on the right is the "Crispy Donut (Soybean Flour)" (231 yen).

First up is the beautiful, glossy "Plain Canelé". It's crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The savory and sweet aroma is irresistible.
When the shop opens and around 3pm, you can enjoy freshly baked medium-soft canelés.

The "Crispy Donut (Kinako)" is covered in plenty of kinako. It is deep-fried in rice oil, so it's crispy and crunchy just as the name suggests! I've never tried this new texture before and I'm hooked ♡

On the left is the "Anko Butter Scone Sandwich" (297 yen), and on the right is the "Chocolate Covered Donut (White Chocolate Matcha)" (264 yen).

Image: momo
The "Anko Butter Scone Sandwich" is a Japanese-Western fusion sweet that combines Japanese anko (bean paste) with Western butter scones. The scones are made with whole wheat flour and have a crunchy texture. The combination of the light saltiness of the butter and the sweetness of the anko was absolutely delicious!

The "Chocolate-covered Donut (White Chocolate Matcha)" is a crispy matcha donut covered in white chocolate. When you break it open, the inside is a deep green color. The matcha and white chocolate go perfectly together and are very delicious.

They were all small, so I ended up getting greedy and ordering a lot.
By the way, the coasters and paper napkins also had the store's logo on them, which was cute.

Not just sweets! A wide variety of drinks available too!
It's not just the sweets that are plentiful: there are 12 types of drinks and 3 dessert drinks, all of which are available for takeout.

Cafe au Lait (ICE)
"Café au lait (ICE)" served in a stylish glass (605 yen for eat-in, 594 yen for take-out).

They use original coffee beans roasted by Zelkova Coffee, a coffee specialty store in Ukiha City, Fukuoka Prefecture, and blended to go with sweets. The perfect balance of moderate bitterness and milky sweetness gives it a refreshing taste. It goes well with sweets.
Soft and fluffy strawberry milk made with Amaou strawberries
The cute pink "Amaou Fluffy Strawberry Milk" (eat-in 605 yen, take-out 594 yen).
The drink was packed with Amaou strawberries, and had a nice strawberry texture, making it sweet and delicious.
