[3 recommended tsukemen in Fukuoka City] A revival in ramen prefecture is in the cards! Introducing a selection of unique and popular shops

"Tsukemen" has been becoming a trend since last year in Fukuoka, the kingdom of tonkotsu ramen.

This year, it has been more talked about than ever before, with a popular ramen shop in Hakata opening a new type of business, a tsukemen specialty store.

So this time, we will introduce three carefully selected recommended tsukemen that you can enjoy in Fukuoka City.

[Tenjin, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City] A famous restaurant tries its hand at tsukemen! "Hakata Isso Tagui" embodies a new world of foamy soup and medium-thick noodles

Hakata Issou Tagui opened in April 2025 on the basement floor of ONE FUKUOKA BLDG., located just a short walk from Tenjin Station on the Fukuoka City Subway.

As the latest store of Hakata Issou, a restaurant known for its foamy soup that draws daily queues from locals and tourists alike, it has been a hot topic even before it opened.

The menu is centered around tsukemen, which are not available at affiliated stores, such as "Tsukemen" (regular size 1,200 yen), "Flavored egg tsukemen" (regular size 1,350 yen), "Special tsukemen" shown in the photo (regular size 1,700 yen * photo shows large size 1,850 yen), and "Spicy tsukemen" (regular size 1,350 yen).

The thick dipping sauce, made with the famous foamy soup of "Hakata Isso," is mixed well with the specially made medium-thick flat noodles specially ordered from "Seimenya Keishi." By adding "Oimeshi" (150 yen) or a free special dashi made with the highest quality bonito flakes to the remaining dipping sauce, you can enjoy it down to the last drop.

Tsukemen Gyorai Tenjin Branch is a tsukemen specialty restaurant from Kumamoto that opened in January 2024 and has attracted a lot of attention in the Fukuoka tsukemen scene.

This restaurant serves a variety of spicy tsukemen noodles that are perfect for preventing summer fatigue, and is well-known for having many women slurping the noodles while sweating even on hot days.

Both dishes combine a rich seafood soup made from pork bones and bonito flakes with extra thick noodles ordered from Kumamoto's "Fuki Noodle Laboratory."

Ramen Peace is located within walking distance from Nanakuma Station on the Fukuoka City Subway.

It is famous as a place where you can taste some of the best Jiro-style ramen in Fukuoka, but during the summer they also offer a weekly changing "Tsukemen" (1,050 yen *the photo shows the version without garlic, the rest are with extra extras) (offered irregularly outside of the summer).

The rich soup, which is slightly emulsified to non-emulsified, has a refreshing taste due to the addition of sourness. It is well balanced with the chewy homemade extra thick noodles, making it worth slurping. Don't miss the voluminous pork slices!

Of course, there are also spell-like commands unique to the Jiro style (adjusting the amount of garlic, vegetables, oil, and char siu, such as "more" or "more more"), so you can tailor it to your liking.
