This time, we will introduce you to a pub located near the station in Kyomachi, Kokurakita Ward, Kitakyushu City.

Momijitei Kokura Main Branch is located on the 6th floor of a building, a 2-minute walk from JR Kokura Station.

The restaurant serves dishes made with fresh seafood delivered daily from the fishing port, as well as carefully selected local chicken, skewers, and hotpots.

Bright red autumn leaves welcome you at the entrance, and the quaint and calm atmosphere is impressive.

The restaurant is spacious and has over 100 seats, including private rooms, semi-private rooms, table seats, and sunken kotatsu seats. There are also private rooms that can accommodate up to 70 people, so it can be used for large banquets.

A variety of dishes are available, including Momijitei's special "Local Chicken Sukiyaki" (1,628 yen per person, minimum order is 2 servings), which uses plenty of local chicken and vegetables, "Truffle Tuna" (1,180 yen), tuna sashimi drizzled in truffle oil, and "Today's Five-Kind Grilled Skewers (with sauce or salt)" (1,122 yen). Another appeal is the reasonable prices.

Fried horse mackerel with pickled eggplant tartar sauce

"Fried Horse Mackerel with Shibazuke Tartar Sauce" (495 yen) is fried horse mackerel topped with colorful tartar sauce.

The fried horse mackerel is freshly fried and crispy! The tartar sauce, which contains finely chopped pickled eggplant, is refreshing.

Five kinds of handmade meatballs

The "Five Kinds of Handmade Tsukune" (1,080 yen) comes in five different flavors: Sukiyaki-style Tsukumi, Shibazuke Tartar Sauce, Grated Mayonnaise, Korean Miso, and Yuzu Kosho, allowing you to enjoy the unique characteristics of each.

The meatballs have a soft texture. The "Sukiyaki-style Tsukimi" was especially delicious when mixed with the egg!

Salmon and salmon roe clay pot rice

The "Salmon and Salmon Roe Clay Pot Rice" (2,480 yen) is sure to look great on social media.

"Harako rice" is a local dish from Miyagi Prefecture, a luxurious dish topped with plenty of salmon meat and salmon roe.

The rice cooked in salmon broth is full of flavor and you could eat as much as you wanted ♡ It's also the perfect final dish.

Assortment of 5 kinds of fresh sashimi

"5 kinds of fresh fish sashimi platter" (2,178 yen) allows you to enjoy 5 kinds of fish: red meat, salmon, yellowtail, bonito, and sea bream. It looks gorgeous and luxurious!

Although it was supposed to be 5 types, there were actually 7 types, including today's recommendation, which was a nice bonus! They were all fatty, fresh and cut thickly, so they were very satisfying to eat.

Homemade dashi-filled rolled egg

The beautifully presented "Dashimaki Tamago (rolled omelet) with plenty of homemade dashi stock" (715 yen) can be enjoyed with grated daikon radish, if desired.

Brown sugar warabi mochi

"Brown Sugar Warabimochi" (792 yen) is filled with kinako and brown sugar syrup. It is also served with bean paste and whipped cream. The warabimochi was chewy, cold and delicious!

Cut cake with vanilla ice cream

The "Cut Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream" (792 yen) is a luxurious dessert plate that allows you to enjoy both moist cheesecake and vanilla ice cream made with vanilla beans. You can also enjoy a change of flavor with strawberry sauce.

In addition to the a la carte menu, there are also other courses such as the "Momiji Course" (4,500 yen) with 7 dishes and 2 hours of all-you-can-drink, and the "Momiji-tei Course" (5,000 yen) with 8 dishes and 3 hours of all-you-can-drink. Each course can be ordered for 2 people or more.
