Stylish and delicious! The rapidly growing popularity of "Honey Cafe" (Minami-ku, Fukuoka City)
Hello♪ I'm chippachapus and I love going to cafes.
This time, we will introduce you to "Honey Cafe", run by a cheerful owner, a place you will want to visit again and again once you've visited!
You'll want to return again and again! Honey, I'm home, an antique cafe with a honey theme (Nakao, Minami-ku, Fukuoka)
Honey, I'm home is located in Nakao, Minami-ku, Fukuoka City. Its eye-catching red roof gives it a retro feel.

Once you step inside, it's like a different world! It's decorated with antique items and furniture, and no matter where you look, you'll find a stylish space.

The interior of the store is mostly DIY, with the interior design being produced by a friend of the owner who deals in foreign goods.

There are table seats where you can comfortably sit alone, as well as spacious sofa seats.

If you'd like to enjoy a chat with the friendly owner, we recommend the counter seats.
We had so much fun talking that we forgot the time passing.

Sweets and drinks made with New Zealand clover honey carefully selected by the owner
The theme of the shop is "honey," and you can enjoy a wide variety of sweets and drinks made with honey.

Image: chippachapus
They use clover honey from New Zealand, which the owner liked the most during his stay in New Zealand.
It has a strong sweetness, but it doesn't linger (is not heavy).
It was so delicious, and the honey was the defining feature of every dish.

I'll introduce the sweets, dishes, and drinks I actually tried. (*Until 2pm, each person is limited to one food item and one drink)
Destiny’s harmony
This is "Destiny's harmony" (1,600 yen), a cheesecake made with cream cheese and Saikyo miso.

Image: chippachapus
Toppings include caramelized apples, additive-free granola, and honey.

Image: chippachapus
It has an amazingly smooth and creamy texture.
The creaminess of the cheesecake and the rich flavor of the honey went together perfectly, and the texture of the granola added a nice accent.

Queen bee’s breakfast
This is "Queen bee's breakfast" (1,600 yen).

Freshly baked croffles are combined with homemade Greek yogurt, homemade blueberry sauce, additive-free granola, and honey.

Image: chippachapus
Greek yogurt has had as much water removed as possible, so it's very thick!
The combination of the croffle, crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, was excellent.
The flavor of our homemade fruit sauce changes with the seasons.

Benedict's crispy chapel
This is "Benedict's crispy chapel" (1,600 yen).
The owner of this restaurant took a step further by taking inspiration from the fact that eggs Benedict was made with potatoes in the area where he lived in New Zealand: thinly sliced potatoes are deep-fried in a mille-feuille shape with 10 layers, topped with poached eggs and a generous amount of homemade honey mustard sauce.

Image: chippachapus
The slightly sweet honey mustard sauce is said to be essential to balancing the flavor with the sweet potato.

Image: chippachapus
The sweet potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside, and went perfectly with the egg yolk and sauce, making them addictively delicious.

Honey Milk/Honey Latte
I would also recommend trying some drinks that contain honey.
On the left is "Honey Milk" (650 yen), and on the right is "Honey Latte" (800 yen).

Morning sets available until 12:00! The addictive honey toast
From 10:00 to 12:00, you can enjoy the limited menu "Morning Set".
A drink is included and you can choose from any drink except tea.

This is the "Hot Honey Sandwich (set drink included)" (1,600 yen). Bacon and two types of cheese are sandwiched between toast soaked in egg and then baked. It is topped off with a generous amount of hot honey.

Crispy on the outside, soft and creamy on the inside, this French toast-style toast is paired with hot honey. It's the perfect combination of sweet and salty!
It was so delicious that I couldn't stop eating it.

This is the "Honey Cheese Toast (set drink included)" (1,600 yen). Thickly sliced toast topped with two types of cheese and honey.

Image: chippachapus
It's soft and fluffy, but also thick so it's satisfying to eat.
It was a perfect combination of cheese and spices.

The menu is set to become even more honey focused in the future, so I'm looking forward to it!
