Hello. I'm Yuri and I love going out with my kids.

This time, we will introduce you to a bagel specialty store that is loved by locals.

Take-out bagel specialty store "PUG BAGEL Works" (Tajima, Jonan Ward, Fukuoka City)

PUG BAGEL Works is located in a residential area of Tajima, Jonan Ward, Fukuoka City.

Look for the cute logo. This bagel specialty store uses a blend of wheat flour and rice flour from Itoshima and plenty of ingredients from Kyushu. Takeout only.

Open Friday and Saturday from 11:00 to 18:00 (or closes once sold out). They are occasionally open on Thursdays.

As we visited during opening hours, the display case was lined with freshly baked bagels!

There are always 20 different kinds of bagels and 3 different kinds of sandwiches available.

Large and heavy! Satisfying bagels

This time, I bought seven different kinds of bagels.

I'll introduce them in order.

Caramel chocolate and roasted mixed nuts

"Caramel Chocolate and Roasted Mixed Nuts" (460 yen) made with Earl Grey dough.

The crunchy texture of the large crushed nuts is pleasant, and the combination of the sweetness of the caramel chocolate and the black tea flavored dough is excellent.

Spicy Bolognese and Cheddar Nuts

"Spicy Bolognese with Cheddar Nuts" (480 yen) made with dough made from whole wheat flour from Itoshima.

This spicy dish is made with keema curry-style minced meat and plenty of black pepper. The texture of the crushed nuts was also amazing...!

Caramel marron glacé and red bean paste

"Caramel Marron Glacé and Ogura Bean Paste" (460 yen) made with plain dough.

Compared to other products, this item has a more sweet flavor. The marron glacé on top has a very elegant taste. Inside is a generous amount of bean paste and chestnut paste. Hats off to the seamless Japanese-Western fusion taste!

Wild Blueberry Cream Cheese

"Wild Blueberry Cream Cheese" (460 yen) has Yame black tea kneaded into the dough.

The chewy texture of the bagel is perfectly balanced with the soft texture and flavor of the cream cheese inside! The dough has a distinctive, refined aftertaste.

The sweet and sour taste of blueberries is irresistible.

Lotus biscuits and high cacao chocolate

"Lotus Biscuit and High Cocoa Chocolate" (460 yen) made with coffee dough.

The crunchy texture of the biscuits adds a nice accent.

The rich sweetness of the chocolate fills your mouth, making it a flavor that is sure to be loved by everyone, from adults to children.

Sweet summer lemon cream cheese

"Amanatsu Lemon Cream Cheese" (460 yen) will be available exclusively in early summer 2025.

The astringency and bitterness of lemon peel give it a mature flavor.

At the same time, it's refreshing and perfect for this season.

Roasted nuts and caramel cream cheese

This is the bagel sandwich "Roasted Nuts & Caramel Cream Cheese" (430 yen).

The generous amount of cream cheese gives it a smooth texture, and the subtle flavor of nuts is also great.

We were shown how the special bagel sandwiches are made, but can you tell that they are filled with plenty of filling? They are extremely satisfying.

Frozen spreads are also available.

You can put it between a simple bagel and enjoy making your own original bagel to your liking.
