This time, we will introduce you to a popular bagel specialty store located in the souvenir shop "Mining" on the first floor of JR Hakata Station.

The light and chewy texture is addictive! Popular bagel specialty store from Kyoto "RABBIT BAGELS Hakata Station Store" (Myung)

RABBIT BAGELS, a popular bagel specialty store that operates five stores in Kyoto City, is opening its first store outside of Kyoto in Fukuoka City. The Ropponmatsu store opened on April 12, 2025, and the Hakata Station store opened on April 25.

The Hakata Station store is located inside Ekinaka Kitchen, the food area of Myung, which is lined with prepared food and grocery stores.

Based on New York bagels, these bagels are made with an original recipe that uses plenty of seasonal ingredients. The ingredients are made with domestically produced ingredients, such as wheat mainly from Hokkaido, salt and cane sugar from Okinawa, and no preservatives or colorings are used. They are carefully handmade from scratch every day.

Made using a unique method, it is characterized by a crisp exterior and a chewy, springy interior. However, it is not heavy and has a light texture!

There are a wide variety of flavors available, with 15 different ones available.

One dish you should definitely try is the "Ume Shiso Mentaiko" (330 yen), which is only available at the "Hakata Station Store."

The popular brand "Yamaya"'s spicy Spicy Fish Eggs is rolled up in plain dough. The refreshing flavor of the shiso on top and the saltiness of Spicy Fish Eggs create an excellent balance. It's perfect for breakfast or lunch.

The popular "Spicy Fish Eggs Butter" (330 yen) at "RABBIT BAGELS" also uses Yamaya's spicy Spicy Fish Eggs.

Unfortunately, I don't have a photo of it, but "Yamecha Anko" (320 yen) is also a Fukuoka-only flavor. It is a fragrant dish with Yame-produced sencha powder kneaded into the dough and wrapped in moderately sweet anko.

This is the classic bagel, "Blueberry Cream Cheese" (360 yen). The dough is kneaded with blueberries and is rolled up with plenty of blueberry compote and cream cheese. The harmony of sweet and sour and milky is irresistible.

"Black Chocolate" (310 yen), "Fig Cream Cheese" (350 yen), "Matcha White Chocolate" (310 yen) and other popular menu items are also not to be missed.

The highlight of the sandwiches is the "LOX" (650 yen). It is a combination of ingredients that go perfectly together: smoked salmon, cream cheese, purple onion and capers. There's no way it won't be delicious. It's gorgeous, uplifting, and filling.
