[My niece's treat lunch at the beach] I want to go all the way there! A popular restaurant in Fukuoka where you can enjoy exquisite food in a stylish space
Hello! I'm ayu.latte, a writer who loves delicious food.
This time, we will introduce you to some special lunch options that you can enjoy in Meinohama, Nishi-ku, Fukuoka City.
Four types of restaurants and shops come together! A new type of restaurant with a food hall feel: "Ittsugama ALLEY RESTAURANTS" (Meinohama, Nishi Ward, Fukuoka City)
About a 5-minute walk from the north exit of Meinohama Station. On the first floor of an apartment building, the restaurant complex "Itsugama Alley Restaurants" opened on October 1, 2024. It is a unique restaurant style that takes advantage of the location where you can get an abundance of local ingredients, such as seafood from Hakata Bay and vegetables from Itoshima.
On one floor, there are four types of restaurants: sushi, charcoal grill, Greek cuisine, and tempura & oden (only available from October to April), as well as four types of delis and shops with a lineup ranging from drinks to daily necessities. Not only can you enjoy meals from your favorite restaurants, but you can also use chopsticks.

The interior of the restaurant is impersonal and stylish! All the seats are at the counter, facing each other.

Worth the effort! Great value for money "Gotsukama Gozen"
Of the four restaurant types, the oden & tempura and Greek cuisine restaurants are open during lunch time from 11:30 to 15:00 (last orders at 14:00).
First, we will introduce the highlight of the lunch menu at this oden and tempura restaurant, the "Gotsukama Gozen" (2,000 yen). Only 14 meals are available per day.
The Gotsukama Gozen meal consists of today's tiered box of rice, eight kinds of condiments, a local vegetable salad, today's small dish, and a bite-sized dessert.
The tiered box rice dishes available change daily, with some offering "Seafood Chirashi" with a generous pile of fresh sashimi, and "Beef Mabushi" topped with a generous amount of charcoal-grilled Wagyu beef. The menu is introduced on the restaurant's official Instagram. On the day I visited, they served the "Beef Mabushi" dish.

The meat is so thick! The more you chew it, the more juice and flavor it releases, making it irresistible!

In addition to the sauce, it comes with condiments (seaweed tsukudani, wasabi, Japanese pepper, salted kelp, sesame, grated kelp, rice crackers, and shichimi) and soup stock, so you can enjoy the meat on top in a variety of flavors!

At the end, we poured some dashi stock over it for a lighter taste. It was full of meat and filling, but it was so delicious that I finished it in no time.

On the day I visited, the small appetizer and dessert of the day were sweet potato bean paste monaka and matcha warabi mochi. Both were very delicious.
Enjoy rare Greek cuisine for lunch
Greek cuisine is a type of Mediterranean cuisine that uses a lot of fish, vegetables, olive oil, cheese, and herbs, and is like southern Italian cuisine with a Middle Eastern touch. Its simplicity makes the most of the ingredients. At Gokama ALLEY RESTAURANTS, you can enjoy new flavors by combining ingredients from Greece with local ingredients from Meinohama and Itoshima.
Be sure to check out the absolutely luxurious "Greek Lunch Course" (2,980 yen)!
The menu includes soup of the day, Greek pita bread, fresh fish carpaccio with tzatziki sauce, meat dish, pasta, dessert of the day, and coffee or tea.

Fresh Fish Carpaccio with Tzatziki Sauce
The freshly caught fish carpaccio is paired with the traditional Greek yogurt sauce "Tzatziki sauce." It has a garlicky flavor and a refreshing taste!
It was also very tasty when eaten with the garnish.

pasta
Seafood-based pasta is now available. On this day, it was a cream pasta with the texture of shellfish and herbs as accents. I was very satisfied with the rich flavor of the cream sauce!

Meat dish
Greece has an abundance of herbs, which are used in sautés and sauces.
On this day, we had grilled pork with herbs and breadcrumbs. It was absolutely delicious when paired with a vibrant carrot sauce.

Greek Pita Bread
Pita bread, a round, flat bread, is a Greek staple. Mentaiko sauce is a golden combination.

Today's Dessert
It even came with dessert (ice cream and pound cake on this day) and coffee or tea, so it was a very satisfying meal.

In addition to the courses, there are "lunch sets" with salad, soup, and coffee or tea, including the "Monthly Pasta" (1,500 yen), "Monthly Oven Dish" (1,800 yen), and "Monthly Meat Dish" (2,000 yen).
Lunch at Gokama ALLEY RESTAURANTS feels like a little treat. Please give it a try. (Text by ayu.latte)
