[Around Hakata Station] A must-try "Spicy Fish Eggs" menu at the bakery cafe with a long line, perfect for breakfast while sightseeing in Fukuoka!
Hello. I'm Ayaka, a writer who loves bread and coffee.
This time, we will introduce a very popular bakery cafe near JR Hakata Station.
Bakery cafe with long lines: "Pan to Espresso to Hakatatto" (Hakata Station, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City)
Leave the Hakata Exit of JR Hakata Station and walk towards Canal City Hakata for about 6 minutes.
The restaurant we visited this time, "Bread, Espresso and Hakatatto," is located on the first floor of Hotel "THE BLOSSOM HAKATA Premier."

The large noren curtain at the entrance to the store is the landmark. There are two noren curtains, one on the main street side and one at the rear entrance of the building.

The shop opens at 8am, and depending on the time of day, there may be a line outside.
I visited around 1pm and was lucky enough to be able to get a seat without having to wait in line.
The shop has an open feel with large windows and high ceilings, and there are counter seats and table seats for about 30 people. The back of the shop is spacious, and in front of the counter seats is a glass-walled kitchen. You can see the bread being baked right in front of you.

The menu is posted outside the store and just inside the store, and when you visit the cafe, you first secure a seat, then order and pay at the register. Of course, you can also take bread out.

The most popular dish! The "Moo Mentaiko Set" topped with spicy Spicy Fish Eggs
The one I'm looking for this time is the most popular item on the menu, the "Mu Mentaiko Set" (drink set 1,700 yen, soup set 1,500 yen). This is a grand menu that can be ordered from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm.
After waiting for about 5 minutes, a delicious looking plate was brought to us! The photo shows the soup set.

The dish is topped with a generous amount of Spicy Fish Eggs on their famous cube-shaped bread "Muu," which is toasted just before it is served. It also comes with three types of salad on the side, making it a very filling meal.
The bread is crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It has a slight sweetness to it and is delicious!

It comes with three types of toppings: "Spicy Fish Eggs," "Cream Mentaiko," and "Spicy Fish Eggs Butter." Spicy Fish Eggs is apparently from Fukusaya.
The spicy Spicy Fish Eggs and the slight sweetness of the "moo" are a perfect match, and you can eat it all in one go. I never thought that raw Spicy Fish Eggs would go so well with bread.
The combination of "Cream Mentaiko" and "Spicy Fish Eggs Butter" is especially delicious!
The onion soup came with bread and cheese, which was also filling.

Among the side dishes, my favorite was the sweet potato and walnut salad. It was just the right amount of sweet and I ate it all up in no time.

It was a very satisfying experience, and I'm sure it's popular!
On the grand menu, in addition to the "Moo Mentaiko Set" introduced this time, the "Moo Sandwich Set" (drink set 1,600 yen, soup set 1,400 yen) is also said to be very popular.
I'm not sure what to order.
You can also purchase savory bread and "Muu"! Original goods also available
In one corner of the store, sandwiches and savory breads are sold. There are many delicious-looking breads, including the popular "Muu" bread (450 yen), "Shrimp and vegetable pesto" (400 yen), and "Spicy Fish Eggs and taro focaccia" (350 yen).

When I visited just after lunchtime, more than half of the bread had been sold out, so if you want to choose from a wide variety, the best time to go might be in the morning.
They also sell original goods such as "Nylon Eco Bags" (1,550 yen) and "Drawstring Bags" (700 yen). They would make great souvenirs!
