This time, we will introduce a child-friendly udon restaurant located in Kashii Teraha, Higashi Ward, Fukuoka City.
Popular with families too! "Nami Udon" at Island Eye (Kashii Teraha, Higashi Ward, Fukuoka City)
Nami Udon is located inside TERIHA DINING, a food hall with multiple restaurants on the first floor of the commercial facility Island Eye.
It is scheduled to open in May 2024. By the way, the owner's name is "Nami."

Full of flavor ♡ Exquisite "Shiraishi Lotus Root Tempura Udon"
Nami Udon uses carefully selected domestic ingredients, especially lotus root and wakame seaweed, which are directly contracted with local producers.

The soup is based on flying fish stock and has a light and elegant flavor.
Another nice feature is that you can choose the thickness of the noodles from thin, medium, or thick.

A must-try is the shop's recommended dish, "Shiraishi Lotus Root Tempura Udon" (850 yen).
They use lotus root sourced directly from a contracted farmer in Shiroishi Town, Saga Prefecture, and can be enjoyed all year round except during the season when lotus root cannot be harvested.
A simple udon noodle dish with just spring onions is served with lotus root tempura on a separate plate. I counted a generous six pieces.

Don't miss the "Dragon Udon" (1,100 yen), a collaboration with the popular restaurant "Nanbantei" at Nagasaki Port Terminal.

An unprecedentedly spicy udon noodle dish, made with a focus on Japanese spiciness.
At first glance, the eye-catching minced meat in the middle makes it look like a udon version of dandan noodles, but because it is not sesame-based, it has a more straightforward spiciness.
Hidden beneath the minced meat are shredded pork and thinly sliced burdock tempura, adding a Japanese taste and richness.

This time I ordered medium-sized noodles for both, which were thinner than Fukuoka udon and had a firmer texture.

The combination of Japanese dashi and chili peppers was exquisite, and although it was a bit spicy, I finished it all in no time.

There are many udon restaurants in Fukuoka, but this one stands out as unique.
My kids fell in love with the deliciousness and it became a favorite restaurant for the whole family.
