What we would like to introduce this time is a sister store of a popular cafe that opened in Tenjin, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City on April 7, 2025.

Hakatano BB (Tenjin, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City) is a souvenir shop and cafe that mainly sells banana bread.

8garden Co., Ltd., which operates cafes that have long lines of customers every day, such as Mei Café (Haruyoshi, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City), known for its fruit sandwiches, and HOC (Tenjin, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City), known for its signature gluten-free cheesecake and home-roasted coffee, opened Hakatano BB, a souvenir shop and cafe selling mainly banana bread, on April 7, 2025.

It is located next to "HOC" in Tenjin, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, about a 10-minute walk from Tenjin Station on the Fukuoka City Subway Airport Line, in the Tenjinkita area.

The signature "Banana Bread" was originally sold for a limited time at "HOC" and was a legendary delicacy that became a huge hit.

The customer response was so positive that they wanted to reach out to even more people, so they created the brand "Hakatano BB."

Not available online! "Banana bread" can only be purchased in stores

After much research and prototyping, this "Banana Bread" was created using ingredients "almost entirely bananas"!

They are particular about the ingredients they use, using the highest quality ripe bananas with a sticky texture and meltingly sweet taste, domestic rice flour, Hokkaido butter, and high-quality eggs from chicken farms.

As no preservatives or refined sugar are used, freshness is also important, with a shelf life of three days when stored in a cool, dark place and one week when refrigerated.

It has a unique moist texture and a nostalgic taste, yet is gluten-free. Once you try it, you'll be hooked.

A notable feature of the whole "Banana Bread" (14.5cm, approximately 476g, 3,780 yen) is that it is not available for purchase online; it can only be ordered in advance by phone from 11:00 on the 1st of each month (orders will end once the limit is reached), or picked up in-store during opening hours on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
*Some items will be available for sale on business days, but quantities are limited.

This is a departure from the way things are now, where you can get anything you want with just a smartphone, and by making it so you have to go to the store to purchase things, it is hoped that this will encourage people from all over the world to visit Fukuoka.

The stylish packaging is also appealing because it is a special gift. It is also possible to wrap it in a sustainable and reusable furoshiki wrapping cloth. The playful banana illustration is eye-catching.

The paper bag is made of wax paper, a reusable material just like the furoshiki. Its unique texture enhances the appeal of the banana bread.

A reservation is required for the whole banana bread, but you can enjoy slices at the cafe.
