[Ohori area] A popular restaurant that has just arrived in Kyushu! A stylish cafe that also serves great breakfasts (Fukuoka City)

Hello. I'm Sho Fujita, a restaurant marketer who loves going to different cafes.

This time, we will introduce an American-style cafe that is very popular in the Kansai region and opened in the Ohori Park area in January 2025.

Just a 4-minute walk from Ohori Park! "SCHOOL BUS COFFEE STOP FUKUOKA" (Imagawa, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City) is famous for its limited edition American waffles.

"SCHOOL BUS COFFEE STOP FUKUOKA" opened about a five-minute walk from Tojinmachi Station on the Subway Kuko Line.

It will grand open on January 11, 2025 in the residential area west of Ohori Park.

It's close to the park and has plenty of parking, so it's easily accessible.

The cafe is run by a renovation company based in the Kansai region, and this is their first in Kyushu as their eighth store after stores in the Kansai region and Tokyo.

The cafe has an American vintage theme and is very tasteful, with a particular attention to detail in both the exterior and interior.

The interior of the restaurant features modern and stylish tables and chairs, warm wooden walls and tiled floors, creating a vintage yet friendly space.

The restaurant is small, with a total of 13 seats, including 3 at the counter, but the glass walls let in plenty of natural light, giving it an open feel.

Since it was raining that day, we were able to sit down right away, but normally the restaurant fills up before lunchtime even on weekdays, and on weekends there can be a waiting list of up to 15 groups.

According to the store manager, "The best time to go is early in the morning at 8am!"

A wide variety of sweets loved in America!

In addition to their home-roasted original blend coffee and lattes, the store also serves authentic American waffles, which are only available at the Fukuoka store.

There are four types of American waffles: the "School Bus Waffle" with whipped cream (1,200 yen), the "Classic Waffle" topped with juicy bacon (1,300 yen), the "Chocolate Banana Waffle" with ice cream, banana and plenty of chocolate sauce (1,300 yen), and the "Bacon Egg Waffle" with melted soft-boiled egg and bacon (1,400 yen).

In addition to waffles, they also have a wide selection of authentic American sweets, such as brownies and New York cheesecake.

When you order a waffle and dessert, you can get a drink of "Americano (hot/iced)", "orange juice", or "apple juice" at no extra charge. You can also enjoy "latte" or the signature "flat white" for an additional 150 yen.

Next to the counter are homemade baked goods such as cookies and crumble cakes, which go perfectly with your coffee or latte.

Satisfying waffles and flat whites!

On that day, I ordered a set of "Bacon Egg Waffle" and "Flat White".

The waffles made with meringue are crispy on the outside and moist on the inside.

The combination of slightly sweet waffles and maple syrup, fragrant and juicy bacon, soft-boiled eggs, and refreshing cream cheese is a perfect match.

This menu is perfect for a luxurious morning or lunch, or even as a dessert.

"Flat White" has a mellow and rich taste, with the deep bitterness of espresso and plenty of soft milk.

The carefully crafted and beautiful latte art lifted my spirits, making it a truly blissful drink.

The store also sells original goods such as key chains and tote bags, as well as home-roasted coffee beans.

If you present the "MEMBER'S SCHOOL BUS" key chain (900 yen) when you visit the store, you will receive a nice bonus of 30 yen off drinks and 50 yen off food and drink sets.

What's more, dogs are allowed at all seats in this restaurant!

It's also a great place to take a short break after walking your dog through Ohori Park.
