Enjoy freshly fried donuts from 7am! A popular donut shop with a light and satisfying taste (Akasaka, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka)
Hello. I'm Yuri and I love going out with my kids.
This time, we will introduce a donut specialty store located in Akasaka, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City.
Opening in January 2025! The new store of the popular soy donut shop "TSUBAME DONUT Akasaka Store" (Akasaka, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City)
At "TSUBAME DONUT," you can enjoy soy donuts made from a blend of domestic soy flour and wheat flour, and fried in oil made from domestic rice. It is a popular shop that is crowded with many people every day, and currently has six stores in Fukuoka City (Hirao store, Akasaka store, Solaria store, Watanabedori store, Kashii store, and Shintencho store).
The Akasaka store will open on January 18, 2025. It is about a 5-minute walk from Exit 2 of Akasaka Station on the Fukuoka City Subway Airport Line. If you come from the Keyaki-dori direction, it is next to the Lawson Fukuoka Kego Nishi store at the Kego Nishi intersection.

Both take-out and eat-in (12 seats) are available.

The Akasaka store is the factory that manufactures donuts for all the other stores. Therefore, it is the only store that is open in the morning! You can enjoy freshly fried "plain donuts" (230 yen) only from 7:00 to 9:00 on weekdays and 7:00 to 10:00 on weekends and holidays. Another great thing is that you can get a 100 yen discount if you order a drink as part of the set.
It's great to be able to stop by on your way to work or school. By the way, the regular lineup of donuts will be displayed in the showcase from 9:00 to 10:00 as soon as they are ready.
Fluffy and delicious♡A wide variety of donuts
There are over 30 types of donuts on the menu, with 13 to 15 varieties displayed in the display case each day.

This time, I bought six different kinds of donuts.

I'll introduce them in order.
Tsubame Donuts
The most popular item is the "Tsubame Donut" (250 yen).

Image: Yurichan
It has a characteristic fluffy texture.
It's simple, so you can taste the quality of the ingredients directly. Once you try it, you'll be hooked. It's no wonder it's the most popular dish, as it's so delicious.
Mochi Sugar
"Mochitto Sugar" (270 yen), a simple treat sprinkled with sugar.

As the name suggests, the chewy dough is delicious! It's sure to satisfy everyone, from adults to children.
Almond Chocolate
"Almond Chocolate" (290 yen) is characterized by its moist dough.

The crunchy texture of the crushed almonds adds a nice accent.
The sweetness of the chocolate spread throughout their mouths, and my daughters, who love chocolate, were delighted.
Matcha sesame
The calm-looking "Matcha Sesame Sesame" (290 yen).

The sweetness is modest, giving it a mature impression.
This is a recommended dish that adds a Japanese flavor with plenty of black sesame seeds.
strawberry
The cute-looking "Strawberry" (290 yen).

Strawberry donuts tend to be very sweet, so this was unexpected in a good way...!
It has a sweet and sour taste, a light texture and is easy to eat. It has a contrast with its appearance, so I personally recommend it.
Caramel Crunch
"Caramel Crunch" (300 yen) has an interesting contrast between the less sweet, more mature crunch and the richly sweet caramel coating!

The rich flavor was very satisfying. The crunchy texture was also great!
All of the donuts are light and not too sweet, and have a very light texture, so you won't feel guilty about eating them at all.
I took the rest I couldn't finish and ate it the next day, and was amazed at how it didn't have the oily taste that is typical of fried foods and was just as delicious as it was on the day!
I think that's one of the reasons it's so popular.
Also recommended for walking
Maizuru Park and Ohori Park are within walking distance, so it would be nice to go out for a donut and a drink.
In addition to the "Blended Coffee" (400 yen/left) and "Cocoa" (450 yen/right), there is a wide variety of drinks available. *Donuts are an additional charge for all drinks.

If you put a donut on top of the drink lid, it will look even more photogenic.

I hope you all will also go and check it out. (Text by Yuri-chan)
