The crispy dough is addictive! A take-out crepe shop where you can "customize to your liking"

Hello. I'm Yuri and I love going out with my kids.

This time, we will introduce you to a shop in Iizuka City where you can enjoy delicious crepes.

ANO Crepe, a popular crepe shop loved by locals (Iizuka City)

ANO Crepe is located about a 10-minute drive from JR Iizuka Station. It is a crepe specialty store that is renowned for its delicious, freshly baked, crispy dough.

Although it is a take-out specialty store, you can also sit and eat on the benches in front of the store.

You can park your car behind the store.

Customize to your liking! Choose the base, sauce, and toppings and order.

When ordering a crepe, you first choose your base.

There are four varieties available: "Whipped Cream (no fruit)" (400 yen), "Strawberry (with whipped cream)" (600 yen), "Banana (with whipped cream)" (530 yen), and "Mixed Berry (with whipped cream)" (600 yen).

Next, select the source type.

Each costs 50 yen and comes in five flavors: "Chocolate," "Caramel," "Strawberry," "Blueberry," and "Brown Honey." You can freely combine any number of flavors to create your own original crepes.

If you are not adding any additional toppings, stop here.

If you want to add fruits (strawberries, bananas, mixed berries) or other toppings (extra whipped cream, chocolate chips, cereals, red bean paste, kinako, shiratama), just select that and your order is complete. *Toppings are charged (see the menu).

Some menus have set combinations, and on the day I visited there were limited-edition crepes made with seasonal ingredients, such as the "Amaou Premium" (1,100 yen) and "Lemon Crepe" (850 yen), as well as the "Super Matcha" (standard 800 yen - 900 yen with all toppings) which can be enjoyed all year round.

Cute and delicious! Addictively crispy crepes

This time, we ordered both standard and limited-time items from the menu, which has set combinations.

This is the "Amaou Premium" (1,100 yen), which can be enjoyed for a limited time until around Golden Week.

I love the combination of strawberries and chocolate, so it's irresistible!

Amaou strawberries have a perfect balance of sweet and sour, so they are sure to satisfy both adults and children.

The crepe dough is well-baked, giving it a light and crispy texture.

As you start eating it, it starts to break down into crispy pieces. Can you see that in the photo?

Eating a lot of cream all at once can make you feel heavy, but the light and crispy crust at this shop combined with the cream makes it not feel heavy at all, and I was able to finish it in no time.

This is the standard item, "Super Matcha" "All Toppings" (900 yen).

This popular menu item uses Yame matcha and allows you to enjoy carefully made matcha ice cream and matcha cream.

The subtle sweetness and slightly bitter taste give it a mature flavor, and it goes perfectly with the crispy crust.

They also have the "Standard" with no toppings (800 yen), the "Anko Topping" (850 yen), and the "Kinako Topping" (850 yen) which is shiratama covered in kinako, but my recommendation is the "All Toppings" which has both anko and kinako shiratama!

By the way, the red bean-like black circles are actually chocolate. This crepe was delicious no matter what you tried.

ANO Crepe regularly introduces seasonal crepes, making it a shop to keep an eye on all year round.
