[Itoshima Lunch] Now available at the popular tantanmen specialty store! A new dish with crispy ingredients and rich, tasty soup
Hello. I'm Yuri and I love ramen and all kinds of noodles.
This time, we will introduce a restaurant specializing in dandan noodles in Itoshima City.
Opening in September 2024! "Uryu's Dandan Noodles" (Itoshima City) is a dandan noodle specialty store where you can choose the level of spiciness and children can also enjoy it.
Uryuu's Dandan Noodles opened in September 2024, located a four-minute walk from JR Chikuzen-Maebaru Station.
Dandan noodles tend to have a spicy image, but this shop's unique feature is that you can choose the level of spiciness. In addition to "non-spicy," they also have a "children's set" (480 yen), so you can enjoy it with your children.

By the way, the owner's name is Uryu.
The interior of the restaurant is homey and welcoming, even for solo diners. In addition to counter seats,

Full of flavor and addictive! Exquisite "Dandan noodles" & "Spicy chive and bean sprout dandan noodles"
The restaurant currently offers four varieties of its signature dandan noodles.

The menu includes "Dan Dan Noodles" (850 yen), "Dry Dan Dan Noodles" (950 yen), "Pork Cutlet Dan Dan Noodles" (1,200 yen) topped with spicy fried pork, and the limited-edition "Spicy Chive and Bean Sprout Dan Dan Noodles" (950 yen), which was introduced in February 2025.

You can choose from four levels of spiciness. You can enjoy it according to your preference from "no spicy" that even children can eat, "mild spicy" "1 spicy", basic "2 spicy", and spicy "3 spicy".
The noodles are basically thin, but you can change them to curly noodles for an additional 30 yen.

This time, I ordered the signature "Dandan Noodles" and the limited-edition "Spicy Chive and Bean Sprout Dandan Noodles," both at the standard "level 2 spiciness."

The soup is rich but not heavy, because no synthetic seasonings are used.

The spicy flavor of the chili oil and Sichuan peppercorns is blended together to create an addictive, stimulating spiciness.
"Dandan noodles" are thin noodles with low water content and a strong wheat aroma.

The soup is not too thick, so if you sip it all at once you can enjoy the smooth texture.

The meat miso, which uses Itoshima Hanaton, a brand of meat produced in Itoshima, is also full of flavor.

This is the "Spicy Chive and Bean Sprout Dandan Noodles." The basic "Dandan Noodles" is topped with specially made spicy chive and bean sprouts.

The noodles are curly and medium-thin, with a lot of moisture, giving them an irresistible springiness.

The soup clings to the noodles well, making it satisfying to eat, and it pairs perfectly with the crunchy chive and bean sprouts.

The noodle selection was a great success!
This "Spicy Chive and Bean Sprout Dandan Noodles" is a limited-time item, but at present there is no definite period set, and they are considering making it a regular item depending on customer reaction.
It was delicious, so I hope it becomes a regular item!
Everyone, please give it a try. (Text by Yuri-chan)
