All-you-can-eat desserts and snacks, totaling 40 varieties! The hugely popular Strawberry Buffet (Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City)

This time, I went to the strawberry dessert buffet that I look forward to every year because it had just started.
"Strawberry Dessert Buffet ~Kingdom~" held on certain days of the week at "ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel Fukuoka" (5 minutes' walk from Hakata Station, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City)
ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel Fukuoka is conveniently located just a five-minute walk from JR Hakata Station. There is a parking lot in the basement, so it is easy to get to by car.

The Strawberry Dessert Buffet - Kingdom, which is our main focus this time, is being held at the all-day dining restaurant Crown Cafe on the first floor.

The event will be held from Saturday, January 11th to Monday, May 5th, 2025 (national holiday), and will only be held on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from January to February, and Mondays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from March to May.
The hours are 15:00-16:30 (90 minutes). The fees are 5,300 yen for adults, 2,700 yen for elementary school students, 1,000 yen for 4-6 year olds (preschoolers), and free for 0-3 year olds.
This year's theme is "Kingdom"! It is set in a Western castle and depicts a strawberry kingdom, decorated with a cute pink castle.

Below the castle, strawberry sweets are lined up in a row. They are all gorgeous and beautiful, making for an enchanting sight.

Too cute! Sweets that represent the "Strawberry Kingdom"
At the venue, there are 29 exciting kinds of sweets and over 10 kinds of savory dishes (light meals). You can enjoy a total of about 40 kinds of all-you-can-eat♡
Here are some of the things that caught my eye.
Among the many sweets on offer, the one that stood out the most was the one decorated with a crown!
Some of the best sweet treats include the "Crown Strawberry Crepe" made of thin dough wrapped around lightly sweet fresh cream and strawberries, the "King's Luxurious Strawberry Shortcake" made with plenty of Kyushu-produced fresh cream and fresh strawberries, the "Crown Strawberry Milk" which allows for the enjoyable difference in texture between the milk pudding and strawberry sponge cake, the "Crown Strawberry Tiramisu" made with mascarpone cheese which has a gentle sweetness with a milky flavor, and the "Strawberry Mascarpone" which has an exquisite balance of the gently sweet mascarpone and the tartness of strawberries.
There was also an edible chocolate crown.
Don't miss out on the tiara-topped sweets!
The "Princess Dome Strawberry" is a cake made of rich milk brulee and strawberry pulp wrapped in sweet and sour strawberry mousse, the "Tiara Strawberry Cupcake" is filled with strawberry cream, and the "Strawberry Mont Blanc" is filled with rich and sticky strawberry cream.
There's more!
Some of the best treats include the irresistible "Strawberry Rare Cheese" with its refreshingly tart flavor and soft, fluffy sponge, the "Kingdom Jewel Strawberry Tart" a bite-sized tart overflowing with strawberry juice, the "Strawberry Brownie" a walnut brownie boldly drizzled with strawberry chocolate, the "Strawberry Pistachio Cream" a glass filled with pistachio sponge and cream, and the "Strawberry Tartlet Blooming in a Castle" with strawberries arranged like flower petals on top of a chocolate cup.
On the "mirror table" at the back, there is an array of eclairs, canelés, bite-sized baked goods such as macarons and baumkuchen, as well as glass sweets such as puddings and panna cotta.
All the sweets are not only gorgeous to look at, but also delicious! With such a wide selection, it's hard to decide what to eat ♡
By the way, there is a photogenic spot inside the venue where flowers are scattered, so we recommend lining up there and taking photos.

You can even make requests! Pancakes cooked by the chef
A popular item at the sweets buffet at the ANA Crowne Plaza Fukuoka is the pancakes, which are hand-cooked one by one by a chef in the live kitchen!

The "Strawberry Dessert Pizza" filled with custard cream is a must-try ♡ It's baked in a special oven, and is even sweeter and more delicious when freshly baked.

Strawberry and Cheddar Cheese Bruschetta
"Strawberry and Cheddar Cheese Bruschetta" is a perfect match of the sourness of strawberries and the saltiness of cheese.
It seems like it would also be good for resetting your palate after it has become too sweet.

Chickpea hummus with strawberries in wonton cups
"Chickpea Hummus with Strawberries Wonton Cup" is a cup made from a fried wonton skin, filled with chickpea hummus and strawberries. It's a fun dish with a crispy texture.

Strawberry, mozzarella and colorful vegetable salad
There is also a healthy and delicious "Strawberry and Mozzarella Cheese Colorful Vegetable Salad." It is a gorgeous dish made with mozzarella cheese, chopped vegetables, and strawberries.

Other dishes on offer include classic pasta (this time we had "Tuna and Tomato Pasta"), my personal must-have "Hotel Special Curry," "Hakata Spicy Fish Eggs Quiche," "Tortilla Roll," and "Sauteed Chicken with Ginger," among other rich options!
The "Tuna and Tomato Pasta" is a surefire menu item with a good balance of sourness and sweetness. The "Hotel Special Curry" is full of ingredients such as eggplant and zucchini, and has a rich flavor without being too spicy. I was also happy that I could choose between naan or rice.
I thoroughly enjoyed the strawberries, both sweet and savory.
