A crispy strawberry mille-feuille parfait! A hidden cafe right in front of Yakuin-Odori Station (Fukuoka City)
Hello. I'm Yuri and I love seasonal fruits.
This time, we will introduce a wonderful sweets shop located in Yakuin, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City.
Opening in December 2024! Amber, a hideaway cafe for adults where you can enjoy parfaits and desserts (Yakuin, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City)
Amber is located on the third floor of the building directly across the street from the Zoo and Botanical Gardens exit of Yakuin-Odori Station on the Nanakuma Subway Line.
Opening on December 13, 2024. Enter the building ("MODERN BUREAU Yakuin Odori") from this entrance.
When you arrive in front of the store, you'll be greeted by an illuminated sign.
The logo is a golden osmanthus flower. The name "amber" was chosen because the golden osmanthus flower brings to mind the colors orange and amber.
The interior of the store is stylish and has a mature atmosphere.
In addition to five seats at the counter, there are four tables.
Take-out is available from 11:00 to 21:00, and eat-in is available from 13:00 to 21:30 (last orders at 21:00), so don't miss out on the fact that it can also be used as a cafe in the evenings.
Baked goods are available for sale near the register, both for eating in and for takeout. The lineup changes depending on the season and preparation, and on the day we visited, there were "Chestnut Pound Cake" (300 yen each), "Apple Pound Cake" (280 yen each), "Financier" (260 yen each), "Sable Sale" (800 yen per box), "Boulevard Neige" (800 yen per box), and "Maple Cookies" (800 yen per box).
The cakes and sweets in the display case can be eaten in or taken out. On the day, there were Mont Blanc (600 yen), Caramel Amber (600 yen), Pudding (450 yen), Shortcake (650 yen), and Cream Puffs (400 yen). They would make great souvenirs.
In addition, the takeaway item "Almond Chocolat" (1,250 yen per box) was also on sale.
The live feeling is also fun! Limited time "Strawberry Millefeuille Parfait"
This time I ate in.
I ordered the "Strawberry Mille-feuille Parfait" (1,800 yen each), which is available for a limited time from January to the end of March 2025.
If you sit at the counter, you can watch the cooking process, which increases your appetite and makes you feel like you're eating live.
The result was a parfait with a visual that is both cute and sophisticated ♡
The strawberries and strawberry sauce have just the right amount of acidity, giving the drink an overall refreshing, adult flavor.
The manager's recommended way to eat it is to first eat it as is, and then crush the pie as you go.
The crispy texture of the pie and the homemade gelato go perfectly together!
It's not too sweet, so I think it would be perfect as a finishing touch after a meal or after drinking alcohol!
Even after the "Strawberry Mille-feuille Parfait" ends, seasonal parfaits will be available on a regular basis, making "Amber" a place to keep your eyes peeled all year round.
Please stop by. (Text by Yuri-chan)
