This time, we will introduce a Melbourne-style cafe that is open from 8am in front of Hakata Station in Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City.

Opening in October 2024! The second branch of the popular cafe in Imaizumi, "NOOICE Hakata" (Hakata Station, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City)

NOOICE tenjin is a popular cafe in Imaizumi, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City, that aims to "bring Melbourne's cafe culture to Fukuoka" and serves Australian-style coffee brewed individually, as well as food including pancakes.

The second store, "NOOICE hakata", opened on October 28, 2024.

It's located about a 7-minute walk from the Hakata exit of JR Hakata Station, next to Udon Sakaba Fukufuku.

The interior of the store is more compact than the Tenjin store, but there are table seats, bench seats (for one person), and counter seats.

Business hours are 8:00-17:00. Seats are available for 2 hours and one order per person.

Throughout the day, you can enjoy classic Australian cafe dishes such as "Smashed Avocado Toast" (1,280 yen) and "Eggs Benedict" (1,280 yen), as well as lunch items such as "Prosciutto and Salmon Genovese Linguine Pasta" (1,380 yen) and "Chicken Parmigiana" (1,480 yen). All the menu items are colorful and photogenic, which is also an appeal.

They offer a wide variety of pancakes, including the extremely popular "Brûlée Pancakes" (1,280 yen) at the Tenjin store, as well as a wide range of sweets, such as "Cream Cheese Honey Pudding" (680 yen).

The cafe boasts a wide selection of fresh, Australian-style coffees, including the "Long Black (HOT/ICED)" (450 yen) and "Flat White (HOT)" (500 yen), which are made by brewing espresso one cup at a time after ordering. Drinks are also available for takeout, making it a great place to stop by on your commute or for a quick break!

There is also the "Brunch Combo" (1,500 yen), which comes with a choice of main dish and drink, and the "Brunch Meal" (2,000 yen), which comes with a choice of main dish, drink, and "Mini Brulee Pancakes."

A taste report of the popular menu items!

Let's start with two dishes that are perfect for breakfast.

This is "Smashed Avocado Toast" (1,280 yen).

Avocado paste, poached eggs, and bacon are served on crispy bread. The avocado is given a little sourness and spiciness from the lime and pepper sauce, making it refreshing and delicious!

The pink sauce is a paste made from beets and cashew nuts. It has a rich flavor, and it's fun to watch the taste change.

A popular item on the brunch menu is "Eggs Benedict" (1,280 yen).

On top of a stone oven baguette, it is topped with carrot and red cabbage slaw, a choice of toppings (2 types from prosciutto, bacon, smashed avocado, and salmon), a poached egg, and homemade hollandaise sauce. The rich hollandaise sauce and runny egg yolk mix with the ingredients, making it delicious! This time I chose bacon and smashed avocado, but I would like to try other ingredients as well.

Both the "Smashed Avocado Toast" and the "Eggs Benedict" were more filling than they looked and left me full.

Hakata store limited edition items! Blissful sweets that you can eat even when you're full

Among the sweets, the one to look out for is the "Mini Brulee Pancakes (Plain/Matcha/Salted Caramel/Cream Cheese)" available only at "NOOICE hakata"! They are perfect as an after-meal dessert or a light snack.

This is the plain "Mini Brulee Pancake" (780 yen).

The pancakes are made using flour and eggs from Kyushu, meringue whipped using a unique method, and plenty of egg yolks, resulting in fluffy and moist pancakes. They are topped with rich diplomat cream and caramelized with sugar. The outside is crispy and the inside is soft. The exquisite harmony of the textures with the fluffy dough is irresistible!

You can also add caramel sauce to taste to change up the flavor.

This is the "Mini Matcha Brulee Pancake" (880 yen). It's so popular, there are a lot of repeat customers!

The matcha cream is caramelized, which enhances the matcha aroma and flavor. It is not too sweet. The yuzu sauce that comes with it is fragrant and makes you feel like you are eating yuzu itself. It goes perfectly with the matcha.

This is also exclusive to NOOICE hakata! Pavlova (780 yen), a traditional dessert from Australia and New Zealand.

Crispy meringues baked using only egg whites, sugar, and a small amount of cornstarch, topped with whipped cream and berry sauce.

Just by putting a knife on it, it crumbles in a flash. What emerges from the meringue is yogurt ice cream!

The simple flavor of the meringue goes perfectly with the sweet and sour taste of the yogurt and berries! You'll be surprised by the strange texture that melts away in your mouth!

It was voluminous but delicious, and I ate it all in no time.
