Enjoy plenty of A5-ranked Wagyu beef! The superb "Gyu-mabushi" from the popular yakiniku restaurant (Yukuhashi City)

This time, we will introduce a yakiniku restaurant in Yukuhashi City that is very popular among locals.
"Yukuhashi Hormone Ryuan" (Yukuhashi City), a yakiniku restaurant famous for its wide variety of "horumon" and "gyumabushi"
"Yukuhashi Hormone Ryuan" is located about a 10-minute walk from JR Yukuhashi Station, next to "Teuchi no Aji Koizumi Yukuhashi Branch".
This is a branch of Yakiniku Ryuan Main Branch, located in front of Yukuhashi Station, which serves A5-grade Japanese Black Beef. The owner of Yakiniku Ryuan Main Branch opened Yukuhashi Hormone Ryuan in April 2023 as a restaurant that serves fresh horumon yakiniku and beef mabushi, a dish devised to utilize the excess meat that is left over during the process of carefully cutting each piece of yakiniku.
There are two parking lots in front of the store that can accommodate over 50 cars, making it convenient to come by car.
The charming exterior of the renovated old house is impressive.

There are counter seats that are easy for one person to use, as well as tatami rooms with sunken kotatsu tables, so you can enjoy your meal at your own pace.
Delicious! Enjoy 9 types of horumon at the "Hormone Lunch"
The lunch menu, available from 11:30 to 14:30 (last orders at 14:00), has a wide variety of options, including seven types of "Yakiniku Lunch" (from 1,518 yen), three types of "Beef Mabushi Lunch" (from 1,680 yen), and two types of "Stone-grilled Bibimbap Lunch" (from 968 yen)!
In addition, extra large servings of rice are free, and if you order from the lunch menu on weekdays, you can eat as much kimchi and namul as you like.
The most popular "Yakiniku Lunch" is the "Hormone Lunch" (1,628 yen), which contains nine types of the restaurant's proud horumon (offal), and comes with rice, kimchi, wakame seaweed soup, and salad.
It's a surprise to see what 9 types of hormones will be served!
On this day, there were nine types of horumon: kori-kori, liver, gizzard, salted tongue, omasum, striped intestine, small intestine, round intestine, and heart. It's nice to be able to eat a little bit of each type of horumon.
You can choose how you like the doneness. They are all delicious, from the lightly cooked omasum, to the rich, sweet fatty giara, to the plump striped intestines.
Meat can be ordered as a single item, and I went for the additional "Salted Tongue" (1,078 yen).
Grill one side thoroughly... then wrap the tongue around the spring onion and take a bite. The juicy tongue flavor fills your mouth and it's delicious!
Impressive in appearance and taste! "Superb Beef Mabushi Lunch" is sure to look great on social media
Another popular lunch is the "Beef Mabushi Lunch" (1,680 yen). This is a specialty of "Yukuhashi Hormone Ryuan" made with scraps of A5 rank Japanese black beef. The rice is topped with a generous amount of stewed beef!
One level up is the "Top Grade Beef Mabushi Lunch" (2,200 yen), which consists of simmered stew topped with the restaurant's signature roast beef.
And then, going up a rank even further, we have the "Exquisite Beef Mabushi Lunch" (2,680 yen). It's piled high with roast beef so much that you can't even see the rice underneath, and it looks so beautiful...it's truly exquisite ♡
All "Beef Mabushi Lunch" dishes come with a set of salad, meat miso tofu, soft-boiled egg, pickles, condiments, and soup stock. The set is only available at lunch, and can only be ordered separately at dinner on weekdays.
The roast beef is very tender and carefully sliced. It's so light you can eat as much as you want.
This alone is enough to satisfy you, but underneath the roast beef is plenty of simmered beef!
The restaurant's recommended delicious way to eat the dish was carefully written out, and I ate it exactly as described.
First, serve it in a bowl and eat it as is. The beef shigure is sweetly seasoned and very tender, so I rolled it up with roast beef and took a bite. It was so delicious♡
Next, we put a soft-boiled egg on top. The yolk is very soft and goes perfectly with the meat! There's no way they wouldn't go together.
Finally, pour the dashi stock over the rice and top with condiments such as green onions, seaweed, or wasabi to taste, and enjoy as ochazuke.
The mild broth brings out the flavor of the meat, making this a truly luxurious dish. It's a great way to enjoy a variety of flavors in one meal.
