This time, we will introduce a yakitori restaurant located in Ohashi, Minami-ku, Fukuoka City.

A casual stop by! A charcoal grilled yakitori restaurant loved by locals, "Sumidokoro Kichi" (Ohashi, Minami Ward, Fukuoka City)

Charcoal Restaurant Kichi is located a two-minute walk from the west exit of Nishitetsu Ohashi Station.

This restaurant has a reputation for serving charcoal-grilled yakitori made with fresh ingredients, including chicken slaughtered that morning. It has been loved by the local community since it opened 15 years ago.

There are only 20 counter seats inside the store.

14 dishes for just 2,400 yen per person! Great value "Omakase Course"

As a first-timer at Sumidokoro Yoshi, I ordered the chef's recommended Omakase Course (2,400 yen). *This course requires an additional drink order.

This is a great value course that includes a small side dish, salad, 10 skewers, soup, and a rice dish.

The small dishes on this day (one per person) were kumquats and innards simmered in a sweet and spicy sauce, and boiled turnip. The rich flavors were a testament to the owner's careful work.

Personally, I'm sure this restaurant's small dishes are delicious, so I have high expectations!

The refreshing mizuna and leafy vegetable salad is perfect for refreshing your palate.

A simple chicken soup warmed me from the inside out.

This is the "10 skewers" set. The contents are left to the discretion of the chef and change depending on the day (if there is anything you don't like, just let us know in advance).

On this day, the menu included chicken breast, chicken hearts, eggplant, chicken skin, chicken wings, chicken thighs, ginkgo nuts, liver, chicken chicken, and meatballs. The charcoal-grilled flavor was superb.

The "chicken neck" and "chicken chicken" are very soft and plump.

Each piece is a satisfying size and leaves you feeling very satisfied.

For the final dish, you can choose between "chicken minced rice" or "ochazuke."

The minced chicken rice is filled with minced chicken simmered in sweet soy sauce. It's a classic flavor that everyone will find delicious.

There is a quail's egg in the middle, and the creamy texture is irresistible.

The ochazuke is a simple but delicious dish topped with shredded nori seaweed, mitsuba (Japanese parsley), and wasabi. The mild broth had a refined and comforting flavor.
