Lamplight Books Hotel is a "hotel that takes you on a journey through the world of books" and operates in Fukuoka, Nagoya, and Sapporo.

About a 7-minute walk from Akasaka Station on the Subway Kuko Line (Exit 5 near Chuo Ward Office), Lamplight Books Cafe Fukuoka is located on the first floor of Lamplight Books Hotel Fukuoka in the Daimyo area, which is lined with restaurants and second-hand clothing stores.

When you enter the building, you will see the cafe's cash register at the front and the hotel reception at the back. As many customers are from overseas, you can feel the international atmosphere.

The cafe space is stylish and warm, with a harmonious blend of soft lamp light and wooden interior. The high ceilings give it an open feel, making it a relaxing space.

The bookshelves along the wall are lined with about 4,000 books, mainly in the travel and mystery genres. Café patrons are free to pick up and read any of these books! There are also picture books for children.

The unique charm of Lamplight Books Cafe is the time you can take to browse through books that interest you.

There are two six-seater tables, each with three seats arranged side by side, and a shelf displaying books in front of you. These are the perfect seats to spend your free time. Of course you can read, but these seats are also equipped with power outlets, and Wi-Fi is available throughout the cafe, so you can also use them to work on your computer.

The display case next to the register displays a variety of items, including hot dogs (various types starting from 495 yen), croissant sandwiches (various types starting from 495 yen), baked cheesecake (275 yen), and chocolate cake (300 yen).

Other items on the menu include baked goods such as "Lamplight Books Hotel Logo Cookies" (plain 330 yen, chocolate 385 yen) and "Financiers with Original Logo" (440 yen), as well as "Shaved Ice" (various types starting from 935 yen).

The drink lineup includes a wide range of coffee-based drinks, such as "Coffee (hot/iced)" (495 yen), "Caffe Latte" (550 yen), and "Soy Latte" (605 yen), as well as "Earl Grey Tea" (440 yen), "Orange Juice" (440 yen), "Ripe Banana Smoothie" (660 yen), and even alcoholic beverages, such as Hakata's local beer, "Suginosha Amber Ale" (990 yen).

It's open from 7am until midnight (hotel guests can use it 24 hours a day) and has a great location, so it can be used for a variety of occasions, from breakfast to a late-night cafe!

Perfect for breakfast or a light meal! Crispy croissant sandwiches♪

A popular food item is the "Croissant Sandwich," a filling sandwiched between a crispy croissant baked in-house. The lineup changes from time to time, so you'll have to look at the display case to see what types are available. It's recommended for breakfast or when you want to satisfy your hunger.

This is the "Croissant Sandwich with Shrimp and Spinach Gratin" (605 yen).

The buttery croissant and the rich cheese flavor of the gratin are a perfect match. The shrimp adds a nice texture to the dish. It's creamy yet not too heavy, making it easy to eat!

Next is the "Croissant Sandwich Tomato & Mozzarella" (605 yen).

The distinctive aroma of basil is perfectly balanced with the sweetness of juicy tomatoes and the smoothness of mozzarella cheese. It's irresistible for cheese lovers.

The perfect cake to go with your coffee!

All the cakes are easy to eat and reasonably priced. They're perfect for when you want something a little sweet to go with your coffee!

This is the "Baked Cheesecake" (275 yen).

I was able to enjoy the moist dough and smooth, creamy cheese, and it was very satisfying.

Next is the "Tiramisu Cake" (275 yen).

The beautiful appearance of the cream and sponge cake, sprinkled with cocoa powder, whets the appetite. The rich cream and the slightly bitter espresso are an exquisite match.

"Coffee" (495 yen) has a fruity sweetness and a refreshing aftertaste. It is served in a simple and stylish mug with an original logo.
