A slightly luxurious lunch! 15 kinds of exquisite dishes and one pot of rice per person "Hanagogo Gozen" (Shirogane, Fukuoka)
Hello! I'm Trip Camera and I love going out with my camera.
This is a must-see for fans of Japanese food! We will be introducing the "Hanagoshi Lunch" served in a detached house in Shirokane, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City.
Established 22 years ago! An authentic Japanese restaurant where you can enjoy Kyushu cuisine: "Kyushu no Shun Hakataro Main Branch" (Shirokane, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City)
Kyushu no Shun Hakataro Main Store is located in a residential area of Shirokane, a 7-minute walk from Nishitetsu Yakuin Station.
It opened in Daimyo, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka in 2002 and will move to Shirokane in May 2023. This Japanese restaurant has a policy of "inheriting and evolving Kyushu cuisine," and in addition to the main store, there is a store in Nishinakasu (Chuo-ku, Fukuoka) and two stores in Osaka.
The main store is a renovated house that still retains the atmosphere of the Showa era, and features a Japanese garden and a charming building. There is a wooden nameplate on the grey wall.
There was also a pile of salt at the entrance.
The restaurant has three private rooms that can seat up to eight people and six counter seats.
The "Hanagogo Gozen" (only available on weekdays) that we are introducing this time is a menu that is only available at the counter seats.
One of the great things about sitting at the counter is being able to watch the chef's beautiful knife skills up close.
I've been there for lunch a few times, and while most of the customers are female groups or couples, the atmosphere is casual and easy to dine in alone too.
The lunch menu is varied, with the "Hanagogo Gozen" (2,200 yen), "Hakata Kaisenju" (3,000 yen), "Hakata Wagyuju" (3,000 yen), motsunabe (offal hotpot), mizutaki (chicken hotpot), and omakase (chef's choice) courses (starting at 4,000 yen), making it suitable for a variety of occasions. Reservations can be made on the website. *A separate 10% service charge is required.
Limited to 12 meals per day! Enjoy seasonal dishes and rice cooked in a pot at the "Hanagogo Gozen"
The "Hanagoshi Gozen" meal, which was popular when the restaurant was located in Daimyo, has been revived in Shirokane to commemorate the 22nd anniversary of the restaurant's founding.
This popular lunch menu consists of approximately 15 different seasonal dishes, each small and colorfully packed into a flower basket.
Advance reservations are required and there is a limit of 12 meals per day. There are two sessions (Session 1: 11:30-13:00, Session 2: 13:30-15:00) and the start time is fixed.
It is decorated with flowers and is very colorful.
This is the menu for that day. The chef also explains the dishes.
The set includes small side dishes, simmered dishes, fried dishes, rice cooked in a pot, miso soup, and more, so the portions are quite generous.
It's great that there are so many Kyushu specialties on offer, such as Kagoshima's amberjack and Saga's squid shumai!
The [Mukaidsuke - Kagoshima Amberjack], made with fresh amberjack topped with a refined sesame sauce, is a dish that will make you crave a beer.
There are also small portions of fried food to fill you up.
You could feel the chef's careful work in each dish... they were all really delicious.
The rice sparkles! Rice cooked in a pot is served to each person.
I was surprised at the rice cooked in a pot that was served to each person individually.
You can cook as much rice as you like from the pot! The freshly cooked rice was sparkling and it felt luxurious.
The rice and pickles alone would be a perfect lunch treat. The miso soup also has a mild flavor. You can enjoy a relaxing Japanese-style meal in the middle of the day.
Each dish has its own unique character. Be sure to check out the set menu after the meal as well.
