[Nakasu Area Bakery] There are lines even on weekdays! A very popular shop with over 50 kinds of bread and weekend brunch
Hello! I'm Hakata Aya, a writer who shares the hottest information about Fukuoka.
This time, we will introduce a bakery that has been so popular since its opening in April 2024 that there are lines even on weekdays!
The popular bakery in Kawabata-dori Shopping Street! "PAN DEL SOL" (Kamikawabata-cho, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City)
The bakery "PAN DEL SOL" is conveniently located just a two-minute walk from Nakasu-Kawabata Station on the Subway Airport Line and Hakozaki Line. It's located in Kawabatadori Shopping Arcade, so you can easily access it without getting wet even on rainy days!
As you walk down the shopping street towards Kushida Shrine, you'll see a cute sign with the word "BAKERY" written in red on your left! The exterior is also very photogenic, so you'll want to take some photos.
"PAN DEL SOL" has a unique feature that makes it a little different from your average bakery.
Although it is a very popular bakery on weekdays, on weekends it becomes a "cafe where you can enjoy brunch" and no bread is on display.
A wide variety of 50 to 60 types of bread!
This time, we will introduce what the bakery is like on a weekday.
The store always has 50 to 60 types of bread lined up, including sweet breads, savory breads, sandwiches, and baguettes, and they're all so appealing it's hard to choose!
Looking around at the customers around me, I noticed that many of them had a wide variety of items on their trays.
A relaxing eat-in space with the warmth of wood
On the left side of the store there is a warm, wood-themed eat-in space.
On weekdays, you can enjoy the bread and drink you purchase together, so it's also recommended for lunch or as a cafe.
There is also terrace seating, so you can enjoy the atmosphere of an overseas cafe while watching the people passing by.
Only available on weekdays! Tasty bread review
Raw chocolate bread (420 yen)
This cube-shaped bread is filled with plenty of homemade chocolate custard and chocolate, and is filled with rich chocolate and homemade chocolate custard. If you warm it up in the microwave, you can enjoy the melting chocolate even more.
Croissant (320 yen)
The signature croissant is made with plenty of domestic butter, and the rich flavor of the butter stands out. It is crispy on the outside and moist and light on the inside. This is a must-try menu item for butter lovers.
Seasonal Fruit Danish
If you come to PAN DEL SOL, be sure to try their seasonal fruit Danishes!
The seasonal fruits are generously placed on top of the crunchy Danish pastry, and smooth rare cheese is placed inside the Danish pastry! It's nice to discover new menu items every season.
The paper bags are also very cute, so you're sure to be pleased with the items you take home or use as a gift!
I'm also interested in the cafe that is only open on weekends, where you can enjoy brunch without having to line up for bread!
If you visit Kawabata Shopping Street, be sure to stop by PAN DEL SOL! (Text by Hakata Aya)
