[Tenjin area lunch] Juicy and tender hamburger steak! A popular bistro that's sure to fill you up (Fukuoka)

This time, we will introduce you to a bistro that serves delicious hamburgers that are sure to fill you up.

There are often long queues! Bistro O, a popular bistro in the Tenjin area (Maizuru, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City)

Bistro O is located in Maizuru, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City, about a 10-minute walk from Tenjin Station on the Subway Kuko Line.

This restaurant is operated by the ONO GROUP, which operates a variety of restaurants both in and outside of Fukuoka Prefecture. The black walls and purple curtains are the landmarks.

The interior of the restaurant has a warm, homey feel with its wood interior. There are storage spaces under the seats and coat hangers on the wall. There are about nine counter seats facing the kitchen, making it an easy place to dine alone. It's also perfect for a date.

There are about eight tables in total in the back. It is possible to partition it off with a curtain and use it as a semi-private room. During dinner time, it is also suitable for drinking parties of three to four people or girls' nights.

The main menu for both lunch and dinner is the "Hakata Maizuru Hamburger Steak." There are several sets to choose from, including cheese toppings, hamburger steak with fried chicken, fried shrimp, or wagyu steak.

On this day, we visited for lunch from 11:00 to 15:30 (last order 14:30). As it is a popular restaurant, there may be a wait, so it is best to go with plenty of time. Reservations are available from 11:00 to 11:30, right after opening, so we recommend making a reservation if you plan to visit during that time.

For lunch, there is a "Weekday Lunch Menu" and a "Holiday Lunch Menu" on weekends and holidays. The "Holiday Lunch Menu" has a higher price of 200 yen for each set (the menu in the photo is the "Holiday Lunch Menu"). However, in return, a small dessert and coffee are included after the meal.

There was also a special menu available in limited quantities. The curry with salad was a reasonable 980 yen, and you could add toppings for an additional 180 to 250 yen!

Full of meat juice! Juicy hamburger steak eaten with chopsticks

The hamburger steaks are carefully cooked one by one after receiving an order, and are made with a mixture of Itoshima's Raizan pork and domestic wagyu beef, making them full of gravy! They have a distinctive round shape and are so soft that you can eat them with chopsticks. You can choose from one of the following sauces: demi-glace, garlic soy sauce, ginger, or homemade ketchup.

First, we will introduce "A: Hakata Maizuru Hamburger (150g)" (1,480 yen). You can choose one item from six options, and I chose the most popular one, "Homemade Roast Pork & Mouthwatering Chicken that Goes Great with Rice."

It comes with a soft-boiled egg and salad, and is colorful and filling. You can enjoy a variety of flavors on one plate! Both the moist roast pork and the fragrant, juicy chicken were very satisfying.

The sauce for the hamburger steak is "homemade ketchup." It's spicier and more sour than regular ketchup, and goes perfectly with the hamburger steak.

Next up is "E: Hakata Maizuru Hamburger (150g) & Macaroni Gratin" (1,980 yen). This is a luxurious set where you can enjoy a juicy hamburger and creamy gratin at the same time. This also comes with a soft-boiled egg! *Macaroni gratin is served on a separate plate.

This is the macaroni gratin served hot. The chewy texture of the macaroni and the rich white sauce are perfectly intertwined and spread in your mouth. There is also salmon inside, and the moderate saltiness enhances the deliciousness of the gratin.

Refills are free for lunch! Specially made rice cooked in a hagama pot

All lunch menus come with rice cooked in a Hagama pot using freshly milled Itoshima rice and miso soup. The glossy, fluffy Hagama rice is self-service and can be refilled as much as you like.

In addition, there is "Spicy Fish Eggs" (photo left) and "Squid Mentaiko" (photo right) on the table, which are also available for all-you-can-eat during lunch time!

"Squid and Mentaiko" has a spicy and refreshing taste. It goes really well with rice.
