You'll want to eat forever! A yakiniku restaurant (Yanagawa City) where "A5 beef is actually cheap" and the curry and sweets are excellent
Hello. I am Yorimichi, the owner of the blog "Yorimichi's Fukuoka Introduction," which introduces delicious restaurants in Fukuoka.
I found a yakiniku restaurant in Yanagawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture that I would like to recommend to everyone.
There are countless restaurants that serve delicious meat, but the one we'll be introducing today is a restaurant that also serves delicious curry and authentic sweets.
Private and semi-private rooms available! Great for large parties! Yakiniku restaurant "Sumibi Yakiniku Sancho" near Yanagawa Station (Yanagawa City)
So I came to Mitsuhashi-cho in Yanagawa City. Today I would like to introduce "Sumibi Yakiniku Sancho", which is a 5-minute walk from Nishitetsu Yanagawa Station.
This yakiniku restaurant opened in April 2024 and is open only in the evenings from 17:00 to 24:00 (last orders at 23:00). Reservations can also be made during the day.
The store's appearance is so impressive that it may be a little intimidating for first-time visitors, but don't worry, the staff are very friendly.
The restaurant mainly features private or semi-private rooms, so you can enjoy your meal without worrying about others around you.
There are sunken kotatsu seats and table seats available, so please let us know if you have a preference when making your reservation.
There is also space that can accommodate up to 30 people, making it a good place for large parties such as company drinking parties.
Each table is equipped with a charcoal roaster, and the charcoal is burning hot.
Check out the menu! A full selection including A5-grade Kyushu Kuroge Wagyu beef
Now let's take a look at the menu.
We offer a wide range of products, focusing on A5-grade Kuroge Wagyu beef from Kyushu, as well as chicken, pork, offal, and seafood.
I thought the price would be about the same as the average price, or maybe a little higher, but when the meat was brought out, I was so impressed with its quality that I thought it was actually cheap!
Let's start with the "Premium Tongue" (2,310 yen).
Its thick, beautiful appearance gives it an air of elegance. The meat has never been frozen.
First, coat the entire grill with beef tallow and then you're ready to go.
Let's get started.
It's good to add lemon and salt,
It's also good with a refreshing lemon sauce.
The richness of the sauce is also exquisite. You can eat this meat forever.
The meat was 1.5 times more chewy than I expected. It was so soft and jiggly.
Maybe because the meat isn't frozen, the texture is so different; it's a new discovery for me.
Next came the "Kalbi" (1,485 yen) and "Loin" (1,595 yen). They were served together on one plate. I was happy that they came with vegetables and mushrooms!
Can you imagine how good the thickness is? Apparently the meat is cut a little thicker than the meat you would get at a regular yakiniku restaurant.
My personal recommendation is to grill the meat on both sides for 20 seconds each.
Once it has browned a little, remove it from the heat immediately! The key is not to overcook it.
Ahh! Delicious!
It's a bite-sized steak. It's very satisfying.
You can eat it with lemon sauce, or you can soak it in sauce and put it on top of rice to make a bite-sized steak bowl.
As you continue to eat, you will increasingly realize that they are particular about their meat.
Luxurious curry rice with plenty of Wagyu beef for only 858 yen!
But it's not just the meat that's noteworthy. The "Wagyu Curry Rice" (858 yen) is a must-try dish. It's the best.
Look at the chunky texture of these ingredients.
Rather than saying that the curry has ingredients in it, it might be more accurate to say that the curry is "mixed into meat."
It is filled with plenty of A5-ranked Wagyu beef offcuts for yakiniku, and the delicious flavor of the meat is infused into it. It has such a rich flavor that you'll be hooked after just one bite.
This curry is so extravagant.
It was amazing to have such a generous serving of Wagyu beef for under 1,000 yen.
The desserts are also high quality!
If you're looking for dessert to finish off your meal, try the "Nama Chocolate Banana Parfait" (759 yen). There are also "Seasonal Sherbet" (385 yen) and "Matcha Warabi Parfait" (825 yen), but I definitely recommend this one. The quality is amazing.
When you see the real thing, you'll probably wonder if it's really worth the price.
I was able to enjoy each and every delicious ingredient, including the lightly sweet cream, until the last bite, and it was a very satisfying ending.
This time we introduced individual dishes, but there is also a great value course that includes two hours of all-you-can-drink (6,600 yen, orders for two or more people, reservation required by the day before).
This is a really recommended restaurant. Please do try it. (Text by Yorimitsu)
