The key is the excellent egg! Be careful not to eat too much of this delicious, meaty hamburger (Kitakyushu City)
Hello. This is Chihi Log, a casual website that provides information about Fukuoka, with a focus on gourmet food.
This time, we will introduce a hamburger specialty restaurant in Kokuraminami Ward, Kitakyushu City that has a reputation for its delicious food.
So delicious you'll end up eating too much! "Atmark Hamburger" (Tsudashinmachi, Kokuraminami Ward, Kitakyushu City)
Atmark Hamburger, a hamburger specialty restaurant that opened in February 2024 in Tsuda Shinmachi, Kokuraminami Ward, was so delicious that I found myself eating two and a half hamburgers in one go, for the first time in a while.
The restaurant's eye-catching, stylish sign is the landmark. Both eat-in and take-out options are available.
There is a spacious parking lot, making it convenient to travel by car.
The interior of the shop is based on white and there are musical instruments on display. It has a somewhat American feel to it!
Records are displayed everywhere, making you want to look at the various record jackets. There is also a hanging chair set up in front of the cash register.
We'll report on the menu items recommended by our writers, with a focus on the patties and buns!
Let me introduce the menu we ordered this time.
Amazing Egg Burger
First up is the "Kandou Tamago Burger" (968 yen, in the foreground of the photo). I also ordered the "Fried Potato + Drink Set" (495 yen).
This hamburger uses "Yamadaira eggs" laid by free-range chickens in the natural environment of Hinode City, close to Beppu Onsen in Oita Prefecture.
The eggs, which are made using mineral-rich groundwater and specially selected feed, have striking deep orange yolks and sweet whites.
One egg-loving staff member said the egg was "the most moving egg he'd ever had in his life," so they named it the "Emotional Egg Burger."
The patty is made with 70% beef and 30% pork, giving it the perfect balance of the meaty beef and sweet and flavorful pork. It's juicy and addictive!
The miso sauce used as a secret ingredient brings out the meat's flavor even more, and gives it a subtle Japanese taste. The familiar Japanese flavor may be the reason why it's so delicious.
The buns are custom-made by a bakery in Kokura Minami Ward. They are made using wheat from Hokkaido and Kyushu, and butter from Hokkaido, and are fermented slowly with natural yeast, resulting in the original sweetness and flavor of wheat. They are light, fluffy, and moist. They blended well with the ingredients, bringing out the deliciousness of the pate.
The fragrant fried potatoes also go perfectly with the hamburger.
Egg only (no patty)
The eggs are so delicious that they even have a new menu item called "Amazing Egg Only (No Patty)" (473 yen)!
Even without the patty, the rich flavor is more than enough to leave you feeling satisfied.
Cheese Fondue Burger
The "Cheese Fondue Burger" (1,243 yen) is a masterpiece made with melted cheese that the staff perfected after repeated trial and error.
Apparently they conducted repeated trial and error using 10 to 20 different types of cheese.
I ended up with four types: mascarpone, pecorino romano, parmesan, and cream cheese.
The exquisite blend gives it a rich flavor without being too heavy.
Please enjoy the taste and texture of the gently melting cheese.
Weekday Lunch Plate
The "Weekday Lunch Plate" (880 yen), available only on weekdays, is a great value set that includes a small burger, fries (S), a drink (S), a ham cutlet, and a mini salad.
This small hamburger is palm-sized but still offers a juicy and delicious taste.
The salad was served with a special egg yolk mayonnaise, and the ham cutlet was topped with a secret miso sauce, making for a lunch packed with the delicious flavors that are characteristic of Atmark Hamburger.
The warm hospitality of the staff is also soothing. You'll want to eat several at once, and you'll be addicted to these special burgers. Please give them a try. (Text by CHIHIRO)
