Popular nationwide! "Always sold out immediately" Stylish and delicious mail-order sweets [How to get them]
Hello♪ I'm Nanami, a writer whose hobby is ordering delicious sweets online.
This time, we will introduce you to the mail order service of a very popular baked goods store with fans all over the country ♡
The "DE LA MER Delivery" from the popular mail-order sweets shop "DE LA MER" sells out in an instant every time!
DE LA MER baked goods store is located in Kaita-cho, Aki-gun, Hiroshima Prefecture. It is a baked goods store that boasts nationwide popularity with 27,000 followers on Instagram.
"DE LA MER" means "the sea" in French. The store name reflects the husband and wife owners' wonderful wish to "communicate the delicious traditions of various countries across the sea, including seasonal foods, to many people through our sweets."
Not only the store in Hiroshima, but also the mail-order "DE LA MER" is so popular that it sells out quickly every time!
The official Instagram account occasionally offers items up for sale on its "Stories" and "Posts," but there have been many times when I wanted to buy something later only to find that it was already sold out a few hours later...
If you want to order, we recommend turning on "Posts" and "Stories" from the "Notices" section of the official Instagram account! You will be notified when a post is made, so you won't miss the timing to buy it.
The "Cake Set Delivery" is a fun and exciting way to find out what's inside!
There are several types of "DE LA MER" deliveries, such as the "Cake Set Delivery" which mainly features cakes, and the "Baked Goods Set Delivery" which mainly features baked goods.
This time I was victorious and purchased the "Cake Set Delivery" (4,490 yen, shipping not included, frozen delivery)! I was excited even before opening this cute box♪
When you open the box, you'll find a cute surprise!
Part of the box is cut out in the shape of a whale, with illustrations of lots of sweets on it! It's so cute, it looks like the whale is carrying lots of sweets!
It contains a wide variety of 10 different baked goods, which can be enjoyed for about two weeks if frozen.
Along with the treats, there are also handwritten instructions included.
It contains delicious tips and messages that will fill your heart with joy even before you eat it.
Now, let us introduce the baked goods that arrived this time one by one♪ *The package contains popular baked goods or seasonal sweets at the time, so the contents will change depending on when you purchase them.
Surprisingly moist! "Cake-like baked goods"
Gateau chocolat
First up is the shop's specialty, "Gâteau au Chocolat."
From the moment I put my fork into it, I was surprised at how smooth it was! The top half melts in your mouth, while the bottom half crumbles. The chocolate used is 75% cacao, so it's rich but light and not too heavy. It was so delicious that I wanted to eat it whole ♡
Tiramisu made at archive coffee roasters, Brazil
Next up is the shop's hugely popular "Tiramisu made in Brazil by Archive Coffee Roasters."
They use a coffee called "Brazil" from the cafe "ARCHIVE COFFEE ROASTERS" in Hiroshima. The delicious aroma of coffee hits you the moment you open the lid!
The biscuit inside is also soaked in plenty of coffee, and the slightly bitter taste spreads throughout your mouth. The Italian mascarpone cream is sweet and fluffy, with a perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness! I'm totally hooked.
Carrot cake
Along with chocolate gateau, the shop's classic and popular item is carrot cake.
It's filled with plenty of carrots, raisins, walnuts and a little cinnamon.
The dough is moist and soft, fluffy and melts in your mouth. The cream cheese frosting has a strong lemony taste, which makes a great accent when eaten with the cake. The sweetness of the carrots is delicious, and the flavor is gentle enough for children to eat.
Daiginjo sake lees cheese terrine
Next up is "Daiginjo Sake Lees Cheese Terrine."
The impact of the sake lees hits you at first bite, and the deliciousness of the creamy cheese spreads more and more afterwards. It is made using freshly pressed sake lees from Yamagata Prefecture. The alcohol taste is not strong, so it is easy to eat even for those who can't handle alcohol.
Ruby grapefruit and pistachio cream baked tart
A beautifully colored "Ruby Grapefruit and Pistachio Cream Baked Tart."
The crispy tart crust is filled with rich pistachio cream and crème d'amandes, and is topped with a generous amount of ruby grapefruit.
The sweet and sour taste and slight bitterness of the ruby grapefruit made it refreshing even though it was full of cream♪
Chocolate tart
I was impressed by the delicious chocolate in the "Tarte Chocolat".
The chocolate has a strong flavor and melts smoothly in your mouth, making it truly delicious...♡ Apparently it uses chocolate from a historic Swiss chocolate manufacturer that is not normally sold in stores. The tart is thin and crispy, making a crackling sound when you bite into it.
They make it so that it is flash frozen immediately after it is made and is at its best when it is thawed in the refrigerator. I'm so happy that I can enjoy it so deliciously even when I'm far away from the store.
Two types of delicious, unique scones
Next, we will introduce two popular types of scones.
From the left in the photo are "Uji Matcha and Red Bean Chocolate Scones" and "Taiwanese Jasmine Tea and Pineapple Vegan Scones."
First up is the "Uji Matcha and Red Bean Chocolate Scone."
The rich bitterness of the Uji matcha, the gentle sweetness of the red beans, and the solid sweetness of the white chocolate are well balanced and extremely delicious! The dough is moist and packed with deliciousness, and is rich like a cake. When I rebaked it, it was crispy on the outside and moist and soft and fluffy on the inside, and I enjoyed the flavor of it being freshly baked.
Next up is the "Taiwanese Jasmine Tea and Pineapple Vegan Scone."
I was excited by this unique combination as I took a bite. The Taiwanese jasmine tea filled my mouth and I was enveloped in a wonderful aroma. The pineapple added a sweet and sour accent. It was a vegan scone made with a soy milk base and had a refreshing taste.
Everyone's favorite "butter sandwich" in two flavors
Finally, we will introduce two types of "butter sandwiches."
From left to right in the photo are "Cherry and Lavender Cookie Sandwich" and "Raisin Sandwich."
First up is the Cherry and Lavender Cookie Sandwich.
The slightly thick, crispy sable is sandwiched with butter cream and plenty of cherries. The cherries have a strong alcoholic flavor, and the faint scent of lavender makes this a treat for adults. The butter used is apparently chosen for its light, clean flavor, making it very refreshing!
Next up is the "Raisin Sandwich."
The butter cream that goes with the crispy sable is very smooth and has a nice vanilla scent. The chunky rum raisins have a strong alcoholic kick! With an alcohol content of 1.1%, this is also a perfect snack for adults.
I was really surprised at how delicious everything was, as if I had bought it at the store and eaten it straight away! All of the baked goods were made with love and care for the ingredients. Please try ordering some of them online ♡ (Text by Nanami)
