The space and sweets are too cute ♡ "Café lovers give it their stamp of approval" A new shop in Tenjin that you can enjoy until late at night (Fukuoka City)
Hello! I'm ayu.latte, a writer who loves cute cafes.
I have visited over 2,000 cafes so far.
This time, we will introduce a cafe that opened in a corner of Shintencho Shopping Street in Tenjin, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City.
Open for a limited time of two years in the Shintencho shopping district! The cute red and white cafe "HAKU" (Tenjin, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City)
"HAKU" opened on October 12, 2024.
The store's theme colors are red and white.
The combination of the two colors is gorgeous, and gets you excited even before you enter.
When you enter the store, the first thing you'll see on your left is a cute photo spot.
There are plenty of other photo spots at "HAKU."
The entire three-story building is HAKU, but each floor has a slightly different way of using it. Roughly speaking, you order on the first floor and eat in on the second and third floors, but the second and third floors are different, so we'll start by introducing the most distinctive floor, the third floor.
[3rd floor] Enjoy a special feeling with "high-end brand chairs"! Special sweets made by a French chef
On the third floor, you can enjoy sweets that are only available on the third floor, such as the "Fruit Parfait" (1,000 yen) and "Grape Parfait" (1,200 yen). Everything from ordering to paying is done on this floor, so please head to the third floor without ordering on the first floor.
All of these dishes are made by a French chef who trained at a hotel. The artistic visuals are also a highlight.
Among the seats are GUCCI chairs and sofas! I'm excited to sit in a high-end brand chair, which is something I don't usually have the opportunity to do.
[1st and 2nd floors] Enjoy the cafe menu in a cute space filled with flowers ♡
Next, the first and second floors. Here, you order on the first floor and eat on the second floor.
The showcase on the first floor is filled with delicious-looking sweets, including tarts, terrines, and shortcakes made with seasonal fruits.
After ordering your sweets and drinks, you sit on the sofa in front of the display case and wait for the number written on your receipt to be called.
When your name is called, collect your order from the back of the counter and proceed to the eat-in space on the second floor.
The second floor is a space that will have you exclaiming "How cute!" the moment you step inside ♡ It has a somewhat overseas atmosphere.
What catches your eye the most are the many flowers!
The miscellaneous goods on display are all cute, so be sure to take a good look around every nook and cranny ♡ There's even a mirror where you can take selfies.
This is just too cute! Sweets and drinks that you can't help but take photos of!
Here are the desserts and drinks I ordered. The atmosphere is perfect for Instagram.
Let me start by talking about drinks.
Brulee Latte
This is the "Café Latte" (750 yen) from "Brulee Latte." This drink is made by sprinkling sugar on top of the whipped cream and bruleeing it with a burner. The crispy, fragrant browning is irresistible!
Other flavors available were "Strawberry," "Matcha," and "Hojicha."
Tiramisu Latte
The staff's recommended drink is the "Tiramisu Latte" (750 yen). From the three varieties, I chose the "Matcha Latte" (the other two were strawberry and roasted green tea).
As the name suggests, this drink is topped with mascarpone! The strawberry on top is also cute.
Tiramisu
Next came the sweets. We had three kinds.
First up is the cute heart-shaped "Tiramisu" (650 yen). The mascarpone cheese is topped with strawberry sauce, not the usual cocoa powder! I also like that they put a candle in it when it's served.
Shortcake
The "Shortcake" (700 yen) has strawberries sandwiched inside as well as on top.
The lightly sweet fresh cream and fluffy sponge went perfectly together, and I finished it all in no time!
terrine
The "Terrine" (650 yen) is cute with a whole strawberry on top. It has a rich, sticky flavor. In addition to the "Chocolate" shown in the photo, they also have "Matcha" flavor.
Take-out only! Be sure to check out the crispy crepes too!
Don't miss the take-out-only crepes! Take-out orders can be placed and picked up on the first floor.
I chose the "Matcha Strawberry Crepe" (650 yen). I also recommend taking photos outside the shop!
The crispy dough was topped with plenty of matcha whipped cream, strawberries, and topped off with pistachios! It was also filled with custard, making it a luxurious crepe.
In fact, "HAKU" will only be a two-year limited-time cafe. It will be open until the Shintencho shopping arcade is demolished due to the "Tenjin Big Bang" redevelopment project in Fukuoka City.
It's a shame as it's such a cute cafe, but it's one I'd like to visit many times over the next two years ♡ It's open until 11pm (midnight on Fridays and Saturdays), so you can also enjoy the cafe at night. Please stop by. (Text by ayu.latte)
