"EGG & CHEESE CAFE SYNC" is located a 10-minute drive from JR Kokura Station.
The most convenient public transportation is the Nishitetsu bus, which is about 5 minutes from the Kamidake 1-chome bus stop. There is also a free parking lot.
"Bistro SYNC," opened by French chef Arita in 2014, was renovated as "EGG & CHEESE CAFE SYNC" about three years ago.
The restaurant has expanded the variety of omelet rice, which has been a popular choice since its days as a bistro, and has been reborn as a restaurant focusing on omelet rice, cheese dishes, and sweets.
In the evening, in addition to omurice, they also serve meat and fish main dishes, as well as snacks that go perfectly with alcohol. All of the dishes are appealing, bringing out the flavor of the ingredients.
The wife is in charge of the sweets, which are also popular here. The friendly and warm atmosphere created by the couple makes me feel happy every time I visit.
The restaurant has both table and counter seating, and has a stylish yet casual atmosphere that makes it easy to enter.

There are over 20 different sauces and toppings to choose from, showcasing the chef's French cooking skills.
The rice, made with Fukuoka Prefecture rice and cooked with just the right amount of water, comes in chicken rice, butter rice, and mustard greens rice depending on the menu (chicken rice and butter rice can be changed). You can also customize your meal by adding toppings such as "hand-kneaded hamburger steak" (500 yen), "beef tongue stew" (1,300 yen), and "fondue-style cheese sauce" (380 yen).
Half and half demi-glace sauce and cheese sauce + hand-kneaded hamburger steak
This is the "Half and Half Demi-glace Sauce and Cheese Sauce" (1,300 yen) with the most popular topping, the "Hand-kneaded Hamburger Steak" (500 yen).
Since the omelet rice cooks quickly with residual heat, it is recommended that you split it open as soon as it arrives.

The rice is chicken rice, and the demi-glace sauce, which takes an entire day to make, has a deep yet light flavor.

It's juicy, sweet, and irresistibly delicious. When combined with eggs and sauce, the flavors of each ingredient are further enhanced.

SYNC will celebrate its 10th anniversary in October 2024, counting from its days as a bistro.
To express our gratitude, we are offering a "10th Anniversary Course" (2,500 yen per person, reservations must be made at least two days in advance *Single person only) only from October 1st (Tuesday) to 31st (Thursday)!
This is a lineup of 7 dishes including meat and fish dishes (the 6 dishes introduced below come with bread) that would normally cost 3,000 yen, making it a great deal. Reservations can be made for both lunch and dinner.
Prosciutto and lotus root salad
"Prosciutto and lotus root salad" served with a refreshing Italian dressing. The crunchy texture of the lotus root is so good! The saltiness of the prosciutto was perfectly balanced.
Sweet potato and chestnut potage
The smooth "Sweet Potato and Chestnut Potage" seems to be packed with the original flavor and deliciousness of the ingredients.
I was soothed by the gentle taste.
Pumpkin and bacon quiche
Our homemade "Pumpkin and Bacon Quiche" is so good you'll want to eat a whole one!
The crispy dough had a nice buttery aroma, and the gentle flavor of pumpkin and accent of bacon were exquisite.
Seasonal fish dishes
The seasonal fish dishes change depending on what's in stock that day.
On this day, the dish was pan-fried sea bass, but from now on, other fish such as rockfish will be available.
The Americana sauce, made with shellfish stock and white wine, brought out the deliciousness of the fragrant, softly grilled fish.
Chicken thighs stewed in white wine with mushrooms
"Chicken thighs stewed in white wine with mushrooms" is soft, plump and has an elegant taste.
The generous serving of mushrooms added to the dish's appeal. It was a very satisfying and delicious main course.
Fig & Walnut Pound Cake
The dessert is the perfect autumn dish: Fig and Walnut Pound Cake.
There was a "Pound Cake" (530 yen) on the menu, so I thought it would be a great deal to be able to enjoy it as part of a course meal.
It was a delicious course that allowed us to enjoy the flavors of autumn.
Homemade sweets are also a must try
Among the sweets, I especially recommend the parfait. I was impressed the first time I tried it. The lineup changes depending on the season, with strawberries, peaches, and more.
The "Marron Parfait" (1,100 yen) will be available until the end of November. This is basically a dinner-only menu, but you can also order it at lunchtime with a reservation.
In addition to chestnuts, chestnut cream, Mont Blanc, and sweet potato chips, the cake also contains rich, handmade ice cream made with cream cheese and mascarpone that takes an entire day to make, as well as the popular "Cheese Terrine" and "Chocolate Terrine" which are sold individually!
It's amazing that everything is homemade. It's a luxurious treat that lets you enjoy the deliciousness of SYNC's sweets all at once.
In addition to eating in, you can also take away the cakes and baked goods displayed in the store's display case.
