Located near the "photogenic" Nata Beach! A popular Western restaurant serving delicious, hearty hamburgers (Higashi Ward, Fukuoka City)

Hello. I'm Yuri and I love going out with my kids.

My family often goes to the National Umi-no-Nakamichi Seaside Park in Higashi-ku, Fukuoka City, so we usually have lunch in the area.

So this time, I'd like to introduce you to a Western restaurant I recently discovered that serves delicious hamburgers.

"Western Restaurant Ken" (Nata, Higashi Ward, Fukuoka City), a popular restaurant loved by locals

Western Restaurant Ken is located a 2-minute walk from JR Kashii Line's Nata Station and about a 3-minute drive from the much talked about, photogenic Nata Beach, along Prefectural Route 59, which connects the Washiro area with Umi no Nakamichi.

This restaurant offers a wide variety of Western dishes, with a focus on handmade hamburgers.

There are two parking spaces in front of the store, and a shared parking lot with a greengrocer across the road.

Enjoy both lunch and dinner! A wide variety of menu items

Looking at the menu, there is a wide variety of hamburgers, including "Homemade Demi-glace Hamburger," "Japanese-style Hamburger," "Garlic Soy Cream Sauce," and "Tomato Sauce Hamburger" (800 yen each, 1,100 yen as a set), as well as the "Double Hamburger" which allows you to choose two sauces (1,500 yen for a single item, 1,800 yen for a set).

The hamburgers are hand-kneaded and shaped after an order is placed, and each one is carefully cooked.

Other menu items included "Grilled Hamburger Curry" with a soft-boiled egg (1,100 yen a la carte, 1,300 yen in a set), "Omu Hayashi" (1,100 yen a la carte, 1,300 yen in a set), "Sautéed Pork Fillet" (800 yen a la carte, 1,100 yen in a set), "Pork Fillet Cutlet" (900 yen a la carte, 1,200 yen in a set), and "Spaghetti with Meat Sauce" (800 yen a la carte, 1,000 yen in a set).

All of the dishes can be ordered as a set, and may come with salad, soup, and depending on the menu, rice or bread.

The menu is exactly the same for lunch and dinner, so most items can be ordered all day.

You can also order ala carte during lunchtime.

It seems like it can be used in a variety of situations.

The juicy hamburger steak is delicious! Enjoy our proud flavors all at once with our "Beef Stew Hamburger Steak"

This time, I ordered the signature dish, "Beef Stew Hamburger" as a set (1,400 yen a la carte, 1,700 yen as a set).

Comes with rice or bread, salad and soup.

The hamburger steak is 180g and thick, but the ground meat is just the right amount of coarse and soft, making it easy to eat. It's juicy and full of flavor.

The beef stew is made with cheek meat and is simmered until it can be cut with just a fork.

It's incredibly soft and crumbles in your mouth.

Of course, the kids were delighted!

It was very filling, but the beef stew wasn't too rich, so I was able to enjoy it all the way to the end.

I usually prefer rice when ordering a set meal, but this restaurant recommends the bread!

The outside was crispy and toasty, but the inside was soft and chewy. It was a simple texture that I liked.

It has quickly become a favorite restaurant for the whole family, but it also has a casual, welcoming atmosphere, so it's recommended for solo diners too.
