Great value Hakata lunch! A popular restaurant offering a seafood bowl with 12 side dishes for just 1,500 yen (Fukuoka City)

Hello! I'm hicho_cafe, who posts gourmet information on Instagram, mainly about cafes in Fukuoka.

This time, I would like to introduce some recommended lunch spots in Reizei-cho, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City.

"Koyoriyaya Sonohen" (Reizei-cho, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City), a popular Japanese izakaya with a great lunch menu

The Japanese izakaya "Koyoriyaya Sonohen" is located a 5-minute walk from Nakasu-Kawabata Station on the Fukuoka City Subway Airport Line and Hakozaki Line, and a 15-minute walk from the Hakata Exit of JR Hakata Station.

They are also open for lunch and offer reasonably priced obanzai dishes made with seasonal ingredients both day and night, making them popular with tourists.

The restaurant is located on the second floor of the building and has six counter seats, three table seats, and one semi-private tatami room.

It's a popular restaurant, so we recommend making a reservation in advance.

A one-plate lunch with colorful small dishes

What I was looking forward to was the "One Plate Lunch" (1,500 yen) with a row of small side dishes.

In addition to rice bowls, miso soup, and salad, you can enjoy 12 different small side dishes!

You can choose between a "Seafood Bowl" and a "Roast Beef Bowl", and I chose the "Seafood Bowl".

Although it's small, you can enjoy a wide variety of fresh seafood and feel very satisfied!

The vegetables used in the salads and side dishes are harvested in Asakura and Itoshima on the same day, so they are incredibly fresh!

You can enjoy the crunchy texture.

The small dishes use seasonal ingredients so they change depending on what's available, but I'll introduce some of the things I had.

Mekabu natto

This dish combines the highly nutritious mekabu seaweed and natto. The saltiness of mekabu and the rich flavor of natto are an exquisite match.

Chinese Vermicelli

This is also a healthy dish containing vermicelli, wakame seaweed, and carrots.

It has a refreshing taste, and the sesame seeds add a nice accent to it. It's delicious.

Eggplant with sweet and sour sauce

The soft and creamy texture of the eggplant mixed with sweet and sour sauce makes this a dish that goes well with rice.

Sweet and spicy fish

A rich, full-bodied flavour that brings out the umami of the fish.

The broth is thoroughly soaked into the dish, so it goes perfectly with rice.

The slightly spicy bean sprouts are a perfect pairing with alcohol.

There were also other healthy and delicious side dishes, including boiled vegetables such as radish, sweet potato, and pumpkin.
