A wide variety of dishes in small portions! A delicious kaiseki lunch for a satisfying 2,200 yen (Nakama City)
Hello! I'm Momo, and I'm touring fun and delicious spots in Fukuoka!
This time, I went to a restaurant in Rengeji, Nakama City, where I could enjoy delicious kaiseki cuisine.
Enjoy a satisfying kaiseki meal at a reasonable price! "Kyoto Style Restaurant Kamogawa" (Nakama City)
"Kyoto Style Restaurant Kamogawa" is located a 3-minute drive from Nakama Station on the JR Fukuhoku Yutaka Line. It is a quaint restaurant loved by locals, and will celebrate its 34th anniversary in August 2024.
The interior of the restaurant has tatami flooring, tables and chairs, creating a relaxed atmosphere.
It's perfect for lunch with family and friends, as well as special occasions and anniversaries.
Enjoy seasonal kaiseki cuisine! Lunch from 2,200 yen
The menu consists of four options: "Lunch" (2,200 yen), which is only available during lunchtime, and "Kaiseki Zen" (3,000 yen, 4,000 yen, 5,000 yen), which can be ordered both day and night.
All reservations must be made at least one day in advance (lunch reservations cannot be made on weekends or holidays. Available only if seats are available).
This time we will introduce the 2,200 yen "lunch".
The first thing that was brought out was an appetizer called the "Tama-te-bako." On this day, it contained sesame tofu, deep-fried figs, sea urchin green onions, grilled eggplant, and mozuku seaweed in vinegar.
It was nice to be able to try a variety of dishes in small portions. The food was lightly seasoned and made with plenty of seasonal ingredients.
Next comes the covered dish (Shiratama drumstick, edamame, bamboo shoots and carrot sauce).
The Shiratamako is said to have been created with the image of a drum taiko drum in mind. The chewy texture and the mild sauce were a perfect match.
Sashimi, chawanmushi with sweet bean paste, and conger eel and cucumber in vinegar were also brought out.
It's exciting to watch the food being brought out little by little!
Next, corn, eggplant, and boiled conger eel tempura.
The juicy eggplant, sweet corn, and fluffy conger eel tempura were absolutely delicious.
After the tempura came pickles, soup, and rice with grated yam. I finished it all in no time.
The last dessert was matcha green tea and brown sugar warabi mochi, which was perfect for summer.
Matcha after a meal is the perfect way to take a break.
While we were having lunch, the phone kept ringing off the hook, so it seemed to be very popular.
It can be used in a variety of situations, such as spending time with family, moms' meetings, and children's events.
Information on seasonal dishes and events is updated on Instagram and the website.
