[2 minutes from Hakata Station] Morning service available from 8am! A popular cafe serving delicious freshly made cheese (Fukuoka City)

ORTO CAFE is a popular cafe that I've loved ever since I first started visiting cafes. It is currently located in Watanabedori, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City.

On March 31, 2024, our second store opened in Hakata Station East, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City!

Just a 2-minute walk from Hakata Station's Chikushi Exit! A stylish cafe that specializes in Fukuoka ingredients and products: "THE ALL DAY ORTO" (Hakata Station East, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City)

THE ALL DAY ORTO is a cafe located on the first floor of Connect Square Hakata, about a two-minute walk from the Chikushi exit of JR Hakata Station.

The interior of the store is spacious and fully glassed, allowing plenty of sunlight to stream in and making it a comfortable space.

In addition to sofas and table seats, there are also counter seats with large pieces of wood, making it a comfortable atmosphere even for solo diners.

ALL THE DAY ORTO is located in a building that was completed as part of a project to utilize the site of the former Fukuoka Higashi General Government Office, and as such, the store has a Fukuoka-focused feel.

The ingredients used are mainly from Fukuoka, including vegetables and fruits. They also have cooperation from famous shops, such as bread from "Pan Stock" with its main store in Higashi-ku, Fukuoka City, coffee from "COFFEE COUNTY" with its main store in Kurume City, matcha from "Hoshino Tea Farm" in Yame City, wine from "Todoroki Sake Shop" with its main store in Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City, and beer from "CAMOSI BREWING" in Itoshima City.

The tableware is also made by "SiNG," a silicone lifestyle product brand manufactured in Kurume City, and is also available for sale in stores.

By the way, the coasters for the drinks are made from the soles of shoes from Moonstar, a shoe manufacturer whose headquarters and factory are in Kurume. The staff also wear Moonstar shoes, so be sure to check them out.

Cheese factory inside the store

A major feature of "ALL THE DAY ORTO" is that it has a "cheese factory" inside the store. They produce three types of cheese - mozzarella, burrata, and ricotta - and you can enjoy dishes made with freshly made cheese!

Since ORTO CAFE has many menu items that use cheese, they decided to produce their own cheese in order to remain particular about the cheese they use.

Enjoy the deliciousness of freshly made cheese! Recommended lunch

ALL THE DAY ORTO is an all-day dining restaurant that you can enjoy from morning until night. There are also menus available only at each time of day: breakfast from 8:00 to 11:00, lunch from 11:00 to 15:00, and dinner from 18:00 onwards.

I tried two lunches on this day.

Pita Bread Plate (Chicken & Salmon)

This is the "Pita Bread Plate (Chicken & Salmon)" (1,430 yen).

The set includes pita bread baked every morning under the supervision of Pan Stock, homemade fresh mozzarella cheese, plenty of salad and avocado cream, moist chicken and smoked salmon.

You can choose your own ingredients to make your own sandwich.

It was healthy and very satisfying!

It was also nice that the leftover ingredients could be enjoyed as a salad.

Focaccia with meat sauce and cream cheese

This is the staff's recommendation, "Meat Sauce and Cream Cheese Focaccia" (1,000 yen). It comes with soup and salad of the day.

Like the pita bread, the focaccia made by Pan Stock is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside! The simple filling of meat sauce and cream cheese makes it even more delicious. The meat sauce is also very spicy.

Focaccia can also be purchased in stores for 300 yen.

Other lunch options include the "Vietnamese Creamy Mazemen" (1,200 yen), a salad-like cold noodle dish with chicken and spicy yogurt, and the "Pork Ginger Soup (with baguette)" (800 yen), a curry and ginger-flavored pork soup made with whey from making mozzarella cheese.

Check out the sweets too

You can order sweets, drinks, and other items from the cafe menu all day long. They also offer takeout.

On the left in the photo below is "Kiwi Rare Cheesecake" (580 yen).

The fruit used in this rare cheesecake changes depending on the season. When I visited, it was kiwi. There was also kiwi and ginger jam inside, so it had a more grown-up flavor!

The photo on the right below shows the "Chiffon Shortcake" (620 yen). The fruit inside changes depending on the season. On this day, there were two kinds of melon, one with red flesh and one with green flesh.

They also insist on using fresh cream produced in Fukuoka, from Ohmu Dairy in Omuta City.

They also have a wide selection of baked goods, such as the "Carrot Cake" (500 yen), which uses plenty of carrots from Fukuoka Prefecture. It would also make a great gift.
