Sekai no Yamachan, a popular izakaya restaurant with numerous branches mainly in Nagoya, has opened its first branch in Fukuoka! It will have its grand opening at Hakata Bus Terminal on June 28, 2024.

The new Sekai no Yamachan restaurant is located on the basement floor of Hakata Bus Terminal, right next to Hakata Station. It's very convenient because you can get there without getting wet even on rainy days!

The restaurant is spacious with 7 counter seats and 90 table seats for a total of 97 seats. The glass wall gives it an even more open feel.

Another nice feature is that the counter seats are equipped with electrical outlets, making it a great place to stop by anytime.

Enjoy the specialty! The addictive "Phantom Chicken Wings"

When talking about "Sekai no Yamachan," the first thing that comes to mind is the "Magical Tebasaki" chicken wings! This is the restaurant's signature dish, and is also famous as "Nagoya cuisine." Although you can buy it at food fairs, it's nice to be able to eat it hot at the restaurant.

Just like ordering "10 pork belly skewers for now!" at a yakitori restaurant in Fukuoka, the day may come when we will order "10 legendary chicken wings for now!"

The "Maboroshi Tebasaki" (Phantom Chicken Wings) are addictively flavored with the "Maboroshi Pepper" and "Secret Sauce" that are both spicy and flavorful. The taste has remained unchanged for over 40 years since the restaurant opened. It also pairs perfectly with beer, so you'll find yourself eating more and more!

Of course, it's not just chicken wings, but a wide range of other dishes are available, from Nagoya specialties such as dote-ni and miso kushikatsu to izakaya menu items such as cold dishes, grilled dishes, and fried dishes!

You can also order the "Tipsy Set" (1,000 yen) only on weekdays from 14:30 to 17:30. This great value menu is only available at the Hakata Bus Terminal store and includes three of the legendary chicken wings, a half serving of Dote-ni, and one drink (medium-sized draft beer/highball (Kaku/Riku)/any type of chuhai).

Great value lunch set, perfect for a break between shopping!

Sekai no Yamachan may have a strong image as an izakaya restaurant, but the Hakata Bus Terminal store is open from 11am and offers great value lunch sets.

The "Yamachan Set" (1,100 yen) is packed with Nagoya specialties, including three legendary chicken wings, two shrimp tempura musubi, two miso kushikatsu skewers, and Kishimen noodles!

The "Teba Mabushi" (1,300 yen) comes with condiments and a soft-boiled egg, allowing you to enjoy different flavors as you eat.

Other dishes available include the "Chicken Sauce Cutlet Rice Bowl" (900 yen), the "Teriyaru Chicken Nanban Set Meal" (1,000 yen), and the "Lunch Rice Set" (+200 yen), which can be enjoyed as a set meal by adding rice, miso soup, and pickles to any single menu item.

In addition, there is a special offer only available at the Hakata Bus Terminal store, where you can eat lunch for 680 yen on the third Tuesday of every month. The next offer will be on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, when you can eat the "Chicken Sauce Cutlet Bowl," which normally costs 900 yen, for 680 yen.

Only two stores nationwide! Permanent merchandise corner

Sekai no Yamachan also sells original goods, but the only two physical stores where you can buy them are the Centrair store at Chubu Centrair International Airport and here at the Hakata Bus Terminal store.
